  1. I like Mike too . . . and I know him! lol
  2. Thanks, Galen. To which are you referring when you say, "But now having half a dozen of the later 2 seam types", AAs or Primas?
  3. It was all good until your, "Buy them for a quarter and sell them for a $20. You got to love it!", statement. Heck, I like JABOs and DAS too. But I thought that statement was in reference to the ones that look like vintage, which you mentioned in your previous sentence. Do you advocate buying JABOs for a quarter and selling them as vintage for $20? If not, why did you say that? And if so, why would you say that? That's why I thought you were just trying to be goofy or offensive, and that is why I responded the way I did. Seriously, what does "Buy them for a quarter and sell them for a $20. You got to love it!" have to do with wanting to see more JABO and DAS marbles? You know that pot has already been stirred plenty.
  4. I like the ones that bounce like super balls best - still haven't found one though, but I'll probably keep trying. This thread is just for saying goofy stuff, right? Or are we supposed to offend people? Just let me know, I can go either way.
  5. I thought you might say that, and I don't disagree. So what are the tell-tale differences?
  6. And quite a bit more rare, aren't they?
  7. Cool pic, Bob - definitely "fallish". And I really like that Master presentation box. I'll bet lots of kids were begging for one of those. Also, I think Bing (1) and Google (2) designate bots from those companies, which are ingesting the content here. Or maybe that's what shows when a searcher accesses a page from search results on one of their engines.
  8. I agree with Lloyd that the gray one appears to be stone. And the first does look Akro/Master-ish Steph, Your thoughts seem reasonable. I have seen many translucent agates that children could easily have referred to as moonies - some whiter and even more moon-like than this one. If, as you say, people were referring to moonie marbles before glass marbles were produced, such agates would seem to be top contenders for the monicker.

    Jabo?

    I think Steph is right.
  10. This should be fun. I like oddball stuff. Unfortunately, I don't have any unusual handmades, not even pics.
  11. These sure look like they could be Vitros, a few more than others, but . . . ?
  12. Great group, the blue and orange combinations are nice.
  13. Winnie, That is a nice one!
  14. I think blue bleeding over white is very possible on yours, each of which has blue on it. Notice that the only marble of mine with blue on it is the only one in the bag that does not have blue in the base. On the others in that package, it appears that the base glass itself is light blue and not blue from "wash over" of a nearby blue color.
  15. There are some nice looking marbles in there, for sure. Thanks for the pics!
  16. These colors do look similar to Vitro but a gut feeling tells me these are not Vitro marbles and I don't think they were made in the USA.

    Patch Red Line

It has an odd twist in it, which complicates things. The patch and the stripe color looks okay for Vitro but the base looks funny. Although purple is a popular Vitro color, I don't think I have seen a similar translucent purple base on Vitro before. I am sorry I can't be more help.
  18. Thanks for sharing. I like it too!
  19. I think it may be a HG CAC American Agate, FWIW.
  20. That is a great marble, Lloyd. Winnie, I had not seen the baby blue base on All Reds before. Look at how it makes the red and yellow colors change compared to the white-based marbles in the bottom bag - not very attractive IMO. And avatar is correct. The face made me think of Picasso when I first saw it. I am glad it makes you smile - me too.
  21. I am not really seeing Pelt here. The base is unusual - it looks like it could be Kokomo. But from what I have seen of their marbles, which is quite a bit, these almost look too nice. Vitro could be the better bet. Whatever they are, they are nice marbles.
  22. Nice colors, the square ribbon-tip is way cool. I probably have similar somewhere around here.
  23. I am enjoying this thread. 7/8" Vitro . . . Four in the top bag have a baby blue base. I saw the same packaging with 5/8" baby blue-based marbles just like these at the Buckeye show. Steph got me thinking about them here.
  24. And you don't see one of those every day.
