  1. These are the marbles shown as Cairo in Everett Grist's Big Book of Marbles (3rd ed., 2006) Plate #209, p. 97, even though the blue one upper left is a Jackson. 🙂
  2. The biggest difference is that your marble has transparent base glass and the one on EBay has red base glass. The reason that marble looks like it has more than just white striping glass is because in some places the white dips blow the red base glass which makes it look colored. Your marble has both white and red/orange striping glass on transparent base glass.
  3. Nice examples of vintage American marbles, no doubt.
  4. You have a mix of marbles from old to much newere. There are certainly some vintage marbles that are older than JABOs. Regardless of what you do, you should understand that the condition of marbles has a very big impact on their value.

    Still no idea

Well, now that you mention JABO, how about an Ace (2008)? The colors look right . . . Copied from: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/anythinggoes43567/jabo-contract-runs-all-types-the-dave-mccullough-e-t1767.html

    Pelt Tracer ?

You are right, it is not a Tracer - I think it would qualify as a Sunset though.
  7. According to the Sturtz and Johnson book (2012), 5/8" marbles were made from 1991-2008; 3/4" marbles were made from 1995-2005, and 1" marbles were made from 1995-2007. Although, "a few experimantal" 3/4" and 1" marbles were made in 1994. Of course, we are talking only about the Classic years here. This is the best information I could come up with. 🙂

    Pelt Tracer ?

I think Tracers typically have a sort of translucent base with colored ribbon "traced" by white ribbons.
  9. Nice mix of marbles, Joep. Of course, my favorites are the swirly ones. 🙂

    Still no idea

All I can really say is that it doesn't strike me as American made, and that it might have an unusual structure, regardless of who made it.

    Pelt Tracer ?

It does look like a Peltier but I don't think it would qualify as a Tracer.
  12. I agree with Vitro, and unless the colors (including white) are veneered on clear it would be a Parakeet (basically, a 3-color Parrot). If it's 5/8" some might call it a Baby Parakeet. If the colors are veneered on clear it would be a Type I Tiger Eye with an atypical structure.
  13. It's a good point, Steph. I'll have to see if I can figure out when they started running big ones - maybe @Nantucketdink knows. I only started with 1992 because I didn't recognize any of the marbles as being from the few runs in 1991. 🙂
  14. There are some nice colorful patches in the group, and the slags are pretty nice too!
  15. I think the very first is a Vitro and the others are Marble Kings. The last two are MK tricolor patch and ribbons. And yes, that first one might have been found in "Yellow Jacket" packaging but is indistinguishable from a later All Red so most people would not sort it with Yellow Jackets, which typically have three colors on a white base.
  16. I think they are probably Alleys. The second in your newest pic looks like a very nice marble - does it react to UV?
  17. It definitely happens, although it's less common with WVSs. And FWIW, I think your marble is a Cairo.
  18. I have no idea. It's a weirdo, for sure - maybe oogly enough to be Kokomo?
  19. They sure look like Veiligglas to me, Art. In fact, I have some similar bags. I wonder if some NOS was packaged at a later date or maybe this was just packaged late in Veiligglas's history? And I'm always happy to help, even if entirely unintentionally!
  20. @Dave 13 Nice slag, Dave! @akroorka Nice marbles, Art - they both look to be in good condition for big ones!
  21. It's kind of hard to tell from these images but I think it might be a Peltier.
  22. Veiligglas marbles are from Amsterdam. Here is a thread you may find interesting. Unfortunately, the author, Winnie (may she rest in peace), is no longer with us.
