  1. Jeepers man - that last one . . . can you get any more AV into a marble? Very nice!
  2. Pretty sure it's a swirl not a slag and my best guesses would be Cairo, then Heaton.
  3. I'm wondering if you got into some Cerise Agates in a past lot . . .
  4. I'm wondering about Cerise possibilities again.
  5. Looks like Cerise possibilities to me.
  6. Maybe slightly unusual Marble Kings?
  7. They could well be Vacors but I don't think they are American, whatever they are.
  8. They're Vitros but not sure about Anacortes - with five vanes, I think they're earlier ones from Parkersburg. I think most of the Cat's Eyes out of Anacortes were caged types.
  9. Yes, most are Vitro Hybrids - pretty ones too!
  10. I am leaning with Art toward foreign over Master.
  11. Very interesting marble, Charlie - it's pretty different. I'm thinking it's an odd Peltier but we'll have to see what others think.
  12. It looks like a pinch pontil transitional to me too.
  13. It's a Honey Bee - extra nice in peewee size.
  14. @Melissa Some very nice Vitros there, Melissa!
  15. It looks legit to me - somebody with a fair amount of cash is going to get a very nice set!
  16. It's beat to a pulp, but I always thought this was a Black Brick - am I wrong? I completely agree, no oxblood = no Brick, at least IMO. As far as I know, only one of the six named "bricks" that Chad showed has any. Please correct me if I am wrong.
  17. That is a reputable site you referenced - I am just unfamiliar with the term "tuxedo" as it relates to alternating black and white strands in a laticcino core, which is very rare indeed. Your first marble is not a laticcino, it is a divided core, so it does not qualify as a "tuxedo" given their use of the term. Some laticcino cores can have colors other than white - imagine your second marble with yellow, orange or green strands in the core lattice. And sometimes, those colors can alternate with white.
  18. I've never heard the term "tuxedo" in relation to a divided core, or any other German handmade for that matter. It might just be me but my guess is it's not a commonly used term, so don't be too surprised if nobody knows what you're referring to when if you use it. πŸ™‚

    5/8 WHAT???

Might be Vitro, might be Cairo or something else. I know, a lot of help, right? lol
  20. @Al Oregon just posted a 1967 "Mr. Mibbs" blister pack from Chemtoy with Black-line All Reds in it so they were still around then. πŸ™‚
  21. Neat, Al. The Mr. Mibbs blister appears to be a bit earlier than the "Your Bag of Marbles" bags (I have also seen "Your Tub of Marbles", which I think had Cat's Eyes in it). I'm a little surprised they were still packaging Black Lines in the late 1960s - I thought the newer All Reds came out a bit earlier. Great stuff, as usual - even the bouncy balls are really nice!

    Found huge lot

Nice bunch of vintage marbles. Mostly West Virginia Swirls (made by several different companies), a couple of Master marbles, a Peltier Rainbo or two, and maybe a couple of Vitros, from what I can see. The fifth column, fifth row might be something, but not much else jumps out at me.
  23. Odds are with Master, IMO. Cool Mib!
