Spent the day looking to acquire a collection from someone in the area. Looked at over 20K marbles! Many were beat up or cat eyes, but found some nice slags (one inch orange and 2 beautiful peach and a light lavender Pelt!), some Ca's. MK. Akro, Vitro etc and of course the prettiest WV swirls I could find. Check out the mini pelt, it has a coloring I havent seen before and maybe a black panther too? Check them out and as always all comments and questions are welcome! I could use some Id help on the WV

Hello Everyone, Go this 7/8" golden rebel in the mail today, I have it next to a 5/8 one for comparison. I bought it knowing it was a little beat up, and when I got it today, it was actually better than expected. There is a nice size blow out, and a few shallow chips, and general defects (around 7.5) So my questions are: 1. How rare is this size? I dont recall too many this size that I have seen, have seen a few 3/4" inch ones though. 2. Should I get it polished, knowing what it will do to the size, but it will better the condition? Or keep it that size for historical sake? It is a conundrum wrapped in a riddle within a quandary. Thanks, Craig

yeah, i saw one in Canton, and it was gorgeous, same combo exactly......already ran out of money though:)

If that is mint, it is probably worth $80, assuming it is a black opaque base. However, it might have a transparent blue base lke the one i just found, and that my friend gets you in a whole new ball park. That being said if it is 200 total and they make you happy, then go for it! Craig

Brian, i need to come down and check out the museum,i am sure I could learn a ton. I am only thirty minutes away in brecksville. I have a few very interesting slags i need your opinion on. By the way, those are beautiful! Craig

Whew, you were freaking me out there for a minute. Ill take a few more angles tonight.

Ken , does the guinea look ok to you? It is actually a guinea cobra with a nice swirling just below the window
-
yeah Rich, the first one in the pic is 3/4", you would be hard pressed to find them much larger in non slag form
-
Here are some of my best finds from Canton. The electric yellow in the middle row is on a transparent blue base like the guinea next to it.. My favorites are the five colored flames in the front row, and I have always wanted one of the baby blue/trans red/white combo, they are striking in hand. The lavender-gray/seafoam green is a tough combo to find and photo the true color. The last one in row 2 looks like a striped transparent, but a few people say it might be Akro...although it does have two seams, so do alot of companies . All comments welcome, Craig
