  1. Sounds like a great amount of fun! How much did those machine mades go for? Generally about half price or so? Looks like a lot of good deals were to be had Craig
  2. Those look like fakes.....you should send them to Ohio for verification:). Awesome collection!
  3. the "black" is really a translucent green
  4. black and white, but there is a little blend of gray in the flames. you can see in the first pic, how the base goes slightly green with flash. it fluoresces like a mamba jamba
  5. Hey everyone, just came across these fatties. there are some condition issues on two, but the others are mint. the best looking two are the best condition. 3/4" and up! Craig
  6. Nice perchin! you better eat those. Not bad on the large mouth and the trout either!
  7. i think the orange and green is CAC, i bet it fluoresces just like the red and white one. if you dont want it.....maybe we can trade c
  8. No problem,I enjoyed my visit as always. Good rainy day for marble talking C
  9. Those vitros are sleepers! Prices will be on the rise soon I bet.
  10. I went down and visited Brian last month or so and he was gracious enough to show me around his gallery and workshop. I learned more in two hours than I did in two years about marbles regarding colors, construction, and chemistry, for which I am grateful. This isn't a homage to him, just a thanks for passing on his knowledge. That's the key. Craig
  11. Dang Ron! Those are sweet, did you get them all from one person? Did you see any of those Cairos I sent you there? Craig
  12. Hansel, Thanks for all the great information, please continue on any subject as it is always nice to learn from those who have collected for longer than I. Alot of us here really enjoy the education. Craig
  13. If you said the four color one had more of a red than oxblood, I would like it more. Oxblood in popeyes is super are IMHO. That being said they are both awesome! Is there any damage or little nicks? That would make me like them even more. The construction looks correct to me, but I don't collect alot of akro. I would like to hear zaboos opinion. Craig
  14. Sami, Yeah! This is the one that I emailed you about, I obviously ended up getting that collection. This one is very similar to your avatar, that is reallythe only reason I knew it was probably good this may be a question for a different thread, but how do you know which combos are early pelts as opposed to later in their history? Is there documentation, or just what you have observed as a seasoned collector? Craig
  15. Thanks everybody. I like these types alot now that I have them in hand! Craig
  16. Yeah, the blue swirls within each. The one on the left is more pronounced....but it is much harder to capture. Definitely a sweet pair, the blue and amber are identical in hand
  17. Ill have to stop down again and taunt you with these
  18. Came across a couple cool pelts as well, the first one is a fruit cocktail I think and the other one? It is a clear base with yellow/white/black ribbons. One of the ribbons has aventurine. What do you guys think? Craig
  19. Hey everyone, found some cool slags that are amber base color with a swirls of aqua blue thrown in. Most likely when the pot was changed over. Oddly enough they look to have been made at the same time due to the base color and swirling within.....which is hard to capture not in hand. Anyway, enjoy. All comment are welcome, Craig
  20. not certain, but you sure fixed it up well!
  21. Wow, I need to move to Europe and give you some competition for finding these beauties! Excellent stuff!
  22. Pops and MFC opaques....Yellow! (cullet shown with it) Akron glaze
