I might be...cool name....thinking about others....With all the amazing photos, little known history, and personal stories ....I think it could be awesome. Almost everyone has owned or played with marbles but how many of us have paid any attention to them? I know I didn't, but have caught the bug.....

I have a friend whose dad would like to sell his dad's marbles and they are bringing them to me to help them. (I talk too much so everyone knows I'm obsessing over marbles right now). I think I see one Hand made German ribbon marble near the topish left but haven't seen the marbles yet.... I expect you all will be hearing from me next week.. ) .Nancy

I'm not sure if this is the right place to start this but,....I'd love to see any pictures of slag marbles for me to learn from. I keep finding information here that some how has escaped me to date. Wouuld this be considered a cat's eye?

I was wondering if you could tell me anything about these three cat's eyes. I think a lot of them look interesting. The first one is a tiny marble and looks brown from a distance but has a dark red stripe down the middle of the (one or two? vanes. The other two just look different to me.

They might be 'common' but coming from someone who just noticed marbles at all...I love them! Pretty great looking pieces of glass....I also appreciate Jackson Pollock,,,,Nancy

I've been in compter 'hell' all day and just got back to doing what I really WANT to be doing....Marbles!! All of these are at least 1" except the yellow one. I also have some cool 1/2 inch marbles...too bad size counts :-(

Would the top left greenish marble here be considered 'wedding cake'? or any of these? How about translucent marble? or this green and white?
