    Vacor?

Vacor Old Fashion on the brown and white.
  2. At this size, Vacor is pretty much the only choice. The style name is "Old Fashion".
  3. Spidermen have red and blue. Supermen will also have yellow.
  4. These are the Marble King Beachballs that I know of. Two photos from Pinterest. A different look from the marble Melissa posted.

    New?

    Wait for more opinions though.

    New?

The green made me take another look but I'm leaning newer on that one also. Specifically Jabo Classic.
  7. Here it is. The article: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/articles/an-interview-with-antique-marble-collector-alan-basinet/ The marble in question. Still a stupendous Clownfish to me. Not a stupendous Master:
  8. That would be a very nice vintage marble. Vitro I think. Maybe a beachball. Maybe a different name. I don't know. Not one I see often.
  9. Hello. Welcome. I love beach glass. Never found a marble myself. I hope you enjoy your time here.
  10. What kind of contest was involved to get that shirt? Did you knuckle down?
  11. The first two are West Virginia swirls. Cairo Novelty is my first thought for who would have made them.
  12. MFCs are handgathered. So I'm saying no to that. Not saying yes to Pelt. Just no to MFC.
  13. Gotta be a contemporary handmade. No idea by whom though.
  14. They started in 1946, and were still running in the 1960's. Bill Heaton sold his factory to the Bogard familly in 1971. So Heaton was around awhile and I wouldn't think "rare" applies unless speaking of some particular color combo. But they weren't a prolific manufacturer. They ran one machine at a time.
  15. "Wirepull" generally refers to marbles made by the Veiligglas company in Amsterdam. I believe your marble to have been made by Vacor de Mexico, as Chad indicated. It looks similar to their marble called a Streamer, but as far as I know Streamers did not have an iridescent finish. I don't know what style name that iridescent finish would indicate.
  16. Winnie was our beloved collector from Amsterdam who uncovered most of what we know about Veiligglas.
  17. Marble King is a good guess. I'm somewhere between Marble King and Vitro. If Marble King, I think it would be on the somewhat newer side. Like late 60's or later. Not thinking it's particularly special.
  18. I think there are a fair number of marble shows which would be in reach for you. That would be a great place to go with your son.
  19. If you mean digging for marbles in the ground at a place with good odds for finding many marbles, like at one of the old factory sites, I don't think there are any conveniently or legally accessible ways to do that anymore.
  20. Hello. Welcome. That is a good question. I will move your thread to the main forum so that more people will see it.
  21. Usually "hybrid" means some accidental trait, but with the Vitro cat's eyes it's a standard trait for them to have two or more colors on a single vane. Still we call it hybrid.
