It is gone for good at the original address. @bumblebee archived it and hosts a copy here. https://marbleconnection.com/joemarbles/

Pat_Knucklers found this one https://forgedmettlefarm.com/2016/06/28/wth-is-a-marble-doing-in-my-water-line Key phrase: "An internet search on the marble indicates that these were used in check valves in older hot water heaters."

Hello. Welcome. Special family story. Precious phoyo. And nice vintage group. Many date to the early 1900s. Some are mid-1900s (fwiw). Again, welcome. Enjoy your visit 😊

I have just learned that D&J are Dave McCullough and Jim Parcell.

What about Marble King? Virble Kro.

I have seen a Pelt banana with at least one stray ribbon flaring along the surface. I don't remember seeing this many offshoots. But, yeah, it looks pretty Pelty to me. It doesn't look like a Vitro, which would be my next consideration if I was forced to make one.

Yeah, I'm going to have to do some leg work to nail down the exact labels I should put on the boxes these end up in. I think that's D&J Adventure. I am out of the loop! Four baggies in that box appear to say D&J, and I don't know who that is referring to. I have some catching up to do. But for now look for Adventure or Adventures, the ones from November 2022.

Delighted to have received a sampling of Dave McCullough's investor runs from 2022 and 2023. We take it for granted now that these exist, but it really is something special that marble lovers were given this chance starting back in 2008 at JABO to get together with friends and see what magic they could help the marble machines make. Thanks to Dave and his Appalachian Swirls, the opportunity still exists for now. A happy thought.

Done! Thanks for the informative bump. Much appreciated.

Nice. Should be a good time.

Hi. Welcome. Condition is super important to value. I'm not recognizing anything that would hold much value even with damage. The one that is standing out most to me is the red and green swirl near the top. That green solid colored marble is a little larger than the typical solid colored "game marble". There is some tiny theoretical chance that it could be something special. Closer up photos of that one _might_ let us figure out if it was one of the few types of opaques which is considered collectable.

Yeah, could be a nontypical Akro Moss Agate.

These are all from a small batch...which i think are patches.?
Steph replied to Edward's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Is this the only view of this marble, or am I not piecing it together with it's companion photos above? If this is the only view, I would be interested in seeing more. Maybe an Akro. Would like to make a more informed conclusion though. -

To get you started. I think these are from near the end of Akro's production. Colors and textures vary from the early production to the end. -

I'm thinking Akro here also. Check out Akro Royals and Akro TriColor patches. In spite of the faint but substantial green I'm thinking that this one wanted to be an Akro Royal (two colors, and white is counted as a color). Maybe it's an actual hybrid between a black run and a green run. Tri-Color Agates had three or more intentional colors -- white also counted as a color there. One reason I think hybrid Royal rather than TriColor on this one is that the colors are ones that I would see on Royals, not what I remember encountering in TriColor patch packaging. -

Yes to "patches". -

I think Akro on this one at least -
I don't recognize them for sure, but Jabo seems a strong likelihood to me.

LOL ... in general chat now .... How big do we have to be to be a toe breaker? I have some big beautiful Vacor Sunsets, but not sure if they're big enough.
