  1. Doesn't sound like a corkscrew. Possibly not even an Akro. Unless it turns out to be an error.

    Who they?

The red shows signs of being handgathered but I don't see quite enough of the structure
  3. Is it a single blue ribbon?
  4. Top would be Jabo or DAS or a related maker. I think the 3rd marble also.
  5. Akro would have sold that as a Moss Agate. Not a sexy name in modern times, but Akro was especially proud of their Moss Agates.
  6. Unmarked? I wouldn't expect that from Mega/Vacor. Was Mexico given as country of origin?
  7. I doubt the black stripe was intentional. Looks like a game marble.

    Master?

Solids are rough but Master is a good guess. (It's essentially solid.)
  9. That's what I was thinking. The texture seems non-American.
  10. West Virginia swirl but I don't know which company. I'm tugged a couple of ways on it.
  11. I'm not seeing it. Something seems off to me. Is that a brown marble?
  12. My first thought was that it looked Akro but at .88 I have to consider Jabo. (Edit: And I'm considering Jabo pretty strongly now.)
  13. An MCR is an older marble, from NLR times. I would have this rainbo with my 7-ups.
  14. Yeah, if I were a kid who didn't know what I was "supposed" to like, these would be natural to love.

    Real or fake?

Holy! I hope it's real. I don't immediately see anything that calls out as "fake". But this level of CAC or CAC-wannabe is way out of my comfort zone.
  16. My first thought on the first was Peerless Patch. The Tri-Lite is gorgeous. I wouldn't be surprised if it has a collector's name, but I only know Tri-Lite.
  17. One of a kind. Amazing spirit. This is hard to grasp.
  18. Sure looks like a match. That was a high level discussion in that thread. I never did learn how to distinguish between the different types of pontils. Even if it looks like a match, I suppose it's possible that they could have been made on different continents. From that discussion it sounds like one pontil could mean it was made in Germany and a different pontil could mean it was made in America.
  19. It's okay to do more than one. Up to four is generally considered manageable. But posting one at a time does get more individual attention, so to speak.
