  1. My first thought is Jabo. More views might help.
  2. Good question. I don't know. It doesn't look very early to me. But the MarbleAlan page at Buymarbles.com is calling it a Miller Swirl. ??!! Now wondering what the Peltier book says.
  3. The Honey Onyx. It is treated as one of the holy grails of Peltiers. Someone will post a glorious multi-shaded translucent-based Peltier and will be hoping it is a honey onyx, because everyone wants to find one, right? The response will be, "No, that's not one, keep trying." Then that marble which is so much prettier than an actual honey onyx will be brushed under the rug without any of the oohing and aahing that it deserves. Here's mine. Another of the forgotten treasures I have found in my attic while searching for marbles to give away to the neighbor child. You have many many "just rainbos" which are prettier, don't you! (Yes, it is one. 11/16+. Has the expected green line, though faint. It has a frosty face, so it's only a place holder, but it is Gino-Biffany-Approved. )
  4. Hi Steve. I am around but not very much. I have disconnected from most of my internet activity and am moving on from marbles. Thanks for the kind words though my knowledge is getting kinda fuzzy.
  5. Fwiw, Heaton sounds right to me. And for sure not a flame.
  6. Wedding? Is this a new development? If so, congratulations.
  7. The winner is Art. Congratulations, sir!

    Help...

It is pinned in the archives.
  9. I agree. The purple heart and purple key chain may be from old Champion stock. Not sure. My memory is awful for color, but I seem to recall Dave had large quantities of purple Champions he was trying to find a home for about that time.
  10. Parting with my Jabo/DAS has its own challenges. Most of my sets came to me personally from Dave, or from Edna Eaton. Dripping with sentimental value. Is that list all you are missing? Did you find a blue and white Nova yet? It turns out I have one. Thought so but wasn't certain. And the set isn't as complete as I thought it was. That makes it easier to part with individual marbles. It does have fractures.
  11. This picture turned out okay! DAS necklaces and keychains from 2015
  12. I just finished my taxes. Getting a nice refund, feeling flush. I will pay the shipping. Even international.
  13. On eBay, one sold for $362 in December and another for 250 in January. That's why I figured I'd pull my copy out and see what it might be able to do for the forum. Now someone's trying to sell one on the Bay for $899.
  14. Fun accidental formation. Keep it safe. I had a stellar cursive capital S once but haven't seen it in years. There are folks who collect whole alphabets. I saw someone with a complete upper case and lower case sets.
  15. My Vacor Sunsets needed a new group shot.
  16. For auction we have Peltier Glass Toy Marbles: An American Legend, by Sami Arim, Mike Johnson and Gino Biffany. Proceeds will go to forum maintenance. This is my copy. It's in good, almost new condition. Let's call it NM+. The spine is bumped and a couple of pages open more easily than the rest. Winner will pay actual shipping, based on two pounds priority mail in the U.S. from zip code 54241. I will also mail internationally but may need advice as to which is the best way to send. Edit: I will pay the shipping. You can pay for your win through the forum donation tool and I will ship as soon as Jason says the donation went through. Auction ends Sunday, February 9, at noon Central Standard Time. Happy bidding.
  17. Holy Cr@p is right.
  18. I'm okay. Hibernating for winter. But I couldn't not come out and say hi to you.
  19. Back in the 1800's, it was peawee, which was "no larger than a good-sized marrowfat pea" I spread the love out between multiple variations of the cat eye name.
