Also, I am seeing a Master "potato chip" shape in yours.
So that's where my vote is right now.-

Hello, Angie. Welcome.
I'm guessing that won't turn out to be a Halloween. But I will wait for the swirl specialists to come by and discuss it. Mostly wanted to say welcome.
And here's a link to that Halloween Alley thread so folks can reference easily.https://marbleconnection.com/topic/26484-the-alley-halloween-the-whole-family

This view is very Akro.

Ever since I was 7, it was a fantasy of mine to get out to a shell-covered beach before anyone else did and have at it.
I never told my mother how much I wanted that. This was probably an error on my part. At the time we lived in Corpus Christi. She could have made that happen.
Happy hunting.-

Hi, Muzzie.
Not MFC. MFC is handgathered.

Yes, this is something that I and my family built for our marble collection. We are working on other “niches” but marbles is our focus.
All info is completely private only to you unless you share it in a poll, submit it as an example, or transfer it to another user or list it on EBay 🙂 and even in those cases only certain fields plus pics are shared.
Thanks for you suggestion on the links - I will see what I can do!

This is my very first giveaway - I got so excited I forgot to give some context:
The giveaway is really about 2 things - it is a promotional giveaway to hopefully bring some attention to our product launch which is a way to classify and organize marbles, but it is also a fun way to say "thanks" to the forums that have been so instrumental in the growth and development of our marble passion!
There's a lot to say about the software, so I should probably do a post separate from the giveaway with details. But if you want to just jump right in, you can see a live demo at https://app.nichibles.com/demo-login or read about it at https://nichibles.com/faq/
The rules are posted at the bottom of the giveaway page but it is free to all US residents 18 and older. Once it goes active on June 16, the giveaway page will show all the ways to get free entries - like visiting our social media pages or subscribing to our newsletter.
I posted a few days early to make sure people had a heads-up of when it starts. It starts June 16 at 12:00AM ET and runs until June 25 at 11PM. It automatically opens and closes at those dates/times.
As I said, this is the first giveaway (hopefully of many more) so please do ask questions or give feedback on what you think!
Quick note: In the FAQ, under "Why Nichibles", it only mentions marbles.
In the demo, the ebay template caught my eye.
So when someone lists their collection, it can be only for them to keep track for themselves? It's not automatically viewable to the general public? -
"Home" and "About" buttons on the contest page would be helpful. To help people navigate to a page with more information.

Yeah, more views might be needed to get a focus on the handgathered structure we would want to see on a Japanese transitional, but that's what I think it will turn out to be.

It looks like a Vintage MFC or possibly an Early Akro but most likely an MFC.
Hello. Welcome. It would not be MFC. MFC didn't make red slags. The red marbles mentioned in MFC advertising were oxblood.

I am leaning vintage myself. I considered Vacor because of the bubble pops, but the swirl pattern says older to me.

They appear to be JABO Classics, 1992-2007.
I figured I might have the starting year off for the big ones.Never was quite sure when those were added to the line-up. I think I asked once but the answer didn't stick.
-
Hello. Welcome.
At that size with those patterns, I think you have Jabo Classics. Marbles made at Jabo-Vitro in Reno, Ohio between 1991 and 2007.-

Yes, Veiligglas from the Netherlands. For most.
The bottom left is not seeming to fit with the others in that photo.
Oh, and on the right, the second from top seems to have a different pattern. -
For a peewee, my first guess will be Vacor
-
Pretty sure I told you not to do that again.

I will move this thread over to the main forum to see if anyone is close enough that they might want to have a look.
Also, if you posted some pictures, that could be helpful. Could help you and could help people who might want to purchase. -

Hi. Welcome.
Your marble would be a modern reproduction.
The comic marbles from around 1930 were made with Peltier Peerless Patches. Those marbles have a single patch.
All the vintage marbles that I'm aware of are printed in black. Your red image points to modern.
Often you will see reproduction comics on Marble Kings that have two patches. That's most common I think. Does your marble have any patches? Having no patch would also point to modern. Additionally, what size is yours? If it's on a large marble, then pretty sure that means modern as well.
And finally, the details of the image are a little different on yours from what you would see on the old ones.
