I am 99.99% sure that I have seen large Wales marbles. I mean, I am very confident that I have, but am allowing for a glitch in my memory.
Were they a full inch? I don't know. But they were big and I was jealous. -
Yah ... a revelation to see the core.
But will be interesting to see what resin does for the rest. Especially curious how this one would turn out. -

Like most packaged mibs, the question is…Do you open it?
No, no, no! LOL
This would go in my personal museum with a printed explanation of its history and purpose ... after I figured out what that was.-

Odd mix of old and new. I think if someone was buying the older ones individually it would probably make it up to $40.
Interesting marble that you're highlighting. -
Agree with Vacor.
I'll go with the style name Old Fashion.

Just an after thought--Vacor made some killer cats! Still do!
Marble--On!!
Vacor is what I was thinking.

I also got a Japanese vibe but the orange fat vanes look Vitro. It is just a conundrum. But I do agree it is unusual and a keeper. The base glass is clear and I think the blueish hue was from background stuff.
Thanks for your input! I appreciate you all!!
This does affect my thoughts about Vacor. I'll agree with conundrum and keeper. -
I have a square MK bumblebee. And several skewed sparklers.

I was going to go with Blue Boy. But not knowing the date I did a search and I came up with 1959 to 1964 for Blue Boys based on info posted in this thread:
https://marbleconnection.com/topic/28674-mk/
But then I noticed the colors of the examples there and they don't quite match yours.
Yours might turn out to be one of the newer ones that @Ric was thinking of in that thread.
I do not know how this will turn out. -

I can't dispute the name. Could be. I really don't know. I only had a vague idea that the name _might_ apply to the one Melissa posted. I'm seriously deficient with collector names. -
there we are! Thanks, Nate!

Hi marble friends. Now that I have come into a bunch 9f unwanted vacors, it's kind of funny the the next 5 or so marbles are vacors also. When were these marbles made? Are they still be8ng made ( flooding) marbleland.
The company started in 1930, with clays. Then they made "canicas de cristal", which I presume to be clearies. Then in 1944 they made "Trébols”, which would be cat's eyes, and that may have been before Japan started making cat's eyes. (Someone may correct me with more up-to-date information.)
The Vacor swirls may have started being made as early as the 1980's, but definitely were in production in the 1990s and still are to the present. The Galaxy/Planet style is from the 1980's and still made later. They made some stunning marbles in the 1960s. Here is an example posted on Facebook by Ricardo Mendoza. Style name: Mosaico

Vacor Old Fashion on the brown and white.

At this size, Vacor is pretty much the only choice.
The style name is "Old Fashion". -

Is it a superman that I'm thinking has the same colors?
Spidermen have red and blue. Supermen will also have yellow.

These are the Marble King Beachballs that I know of. Two photos from Pinterest.
A different look from the marble Melissa posted.-

Wait for more opinions though.

The green made me take another look but I'm leaning newer on that one also. Specifically Jabo Classic.

I really want to see this post to which you are referring. Were you able to recall where it is?
Here it is.
The article: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/articles/an-interview-with-antique-marble-collector-alan-basinet/
The marble in question. Still a stupendous Clownfish to me. Not a stupendous Master:

That would be a very nice vintage marble. Vitro I think. Maybe a beachball. Maybe a different name. I don't know. Not one I see often.
-
Hello. Welcome. I love beach glass. Never found a marble myself. I hope you enjoy your time here.
