Oh thank God! Every year or so I decide to tackle the unending task of sorting my marbles (this time I just may do it 🤞) and his site has always been a go to for me.

    Thank you!!

  Yes, it would have been a great loss.  I miss Joe.

We'd be glad to help you sort.

  2. I have seen a Pelt banana with at least one stray ribbon flaring along the surface.  I don't remember seeing this many offshoots.

But, yeah, it looks pretty Pelty to me.

It doesn't look like a Vitro, which would be my next consideration if I was forced to make one.

I want a couple of these…can’t make out the writing.

Yeah, I'm going to have to do some leg work to nail down the exact labels I should put on the boxes these end up in.   I think that's D&J Adventure.   I am out of the loop!  Four baggies in that box appear to say D&J, and I don't know who that is referring to.   I have some catching up to do.

But for now  look for Adventure or Adventures, the ones from November 2022.

  4. Delighted to have received a sampling of Dave McCullough's investor runs from 2022 and 2023.

We take it for granted now that these exist, but it really is something special that marble lovers were given this chance starting back in 2008 at JABO to get together with friends and see what magic they could help the marble machines make.

Thanks to Dave and his Appalachian Swirls, the opportunity still exists for now.  A happy thought.

  6. Hi.  Welcome.  Condition is super important to value.   I'm not recognizing anything that would hold much value even with damage.

The one that is standing out most to me is the red and green swirl near the top.

That green solid colored marble is a little larger than the typical solid colored "game marble".  There is some tiny theoretical chance that it could be something special.  Closer up photos of that one _might_ let us figure out if it was one of the few types of opaques which is considered collectable.

  7. I'm thinking Akro here also.    Check out Akro Royals and Akro TriColor patches.    In spite of the faint but substantial green I'm thinking that this one wanted to be an Akro Royal (two colors, and white is counted as a color).  Maybe it's an actual hybrid between a black run and a green run.   Tri-Color Agates had three or more intentional colors -- white also counted as a color there.   One reason I think hybrid Royal rather than TriColor on this one is that the colors are ones that I would see on Royals, not what I remember encountering in TriColor patch packaging.

It's been a very long time since I've seen the images from my 2003 marble art calendar.  It was a huge and fun project for me and couldn't have been completed without all the help and cooperation from everyone involved with making it a reality.  I still have most of the actual marbles that I used as "models" to draw the images on the pages in the calendar.  Thanks for all the positive posts about it.  It's nice to know that my calendar is still out there.  -Lonnie Rewa
