Are Heatons rare? I thought the were a newer company 1960's

They started in 1946, and were still running in the 1960's.  Bill Heaton sold his factory to the Bogard familly in 1971.   So Heaton was around awhile and I wouldn't think "rare" applies unless speaking of some particular color combo.  But they weren't a prolific manufacturer.  They ran one machine at a time.

  2. "Wirepull" generally refers to marbles made by the Veiligglas company in Amsterdam.

I believe your marble to have been made by Vacor de Mexico, as Chad indicated.  It looks similar to their marble called a Streamer, but as far as I know Streamers did not have an iridescent finish.  I don't know what style name that iridescent finish would indicate.

    Marble--On!!

Winnie was our beloved collector from Amsterdam who uncovered most of what we know about Veiligglas.

  4. Marble King is a good guess.  I'm somewhere between Marble King and Vitro.

If Marble King, I think it would be on the somewhat newer side. Like late 60's or later.

    Not thinking it's particularly special.

  5. For collages we will have to remember that we can click on it a couple of times and get it to enlarge.  We can see how that goes.

This marble is a Vitro hybrid cat's eye.

    It's from about 1960.

Isn’t that nuts?  I did use a uv light as well and it really lights up under uv too.

With glow under UV, then that pushes me to Marble King.  Look up the Marble King Wee Glow style.  I don't know if it came with brown patches, but that's now my best guess.

  7. That is a pretty crazy light effect.  Totally unfamiliar to me.

Marble King or Vacor would be my guess for the marble.

There is a marble that I got from a Vacor assortment set which was very reminiscent of MK patterns.   I have no idea what it looked like with a light shone on it.  And I don't know if I still have it in any identifiable Vacor grouping.  Also since it's not a well known Vacor version, if I don't find the one I had before then I have my doubts that I'll ever see another with provenance. So I just mention now that I saw a Vacor once upon a time which your marble reminds me of.
