  1. Clear base? No, not the particular Marble King that I'm thinking of. But I also wouldn't expect a Yellow Jacket to have a clear base.
  2. This one should be obvious to me, but my brain is getting mushy in my old age. I'm going to suggest Vitro.
  3. West Virginia swirl. I have seen some fluorescent Ravenswood game marbles, if I recall corrctly, but this marble appears larger than a game marble. So right now I'm considering Alley and Ravenswood but I'm not in the top 10 of the WV swirl people you'll find around the forums. Ron Shepherd was #1 but we just lost him.
  4. I think modern Marble King on the top right marble. I think the marbles with the white middles in the Yellow Jacket picture are doing double duty. Pretty sure that bin of marbles would have been more likely to be use to fill an All-Red bag than it was to end up in a Yellow Jacket bag. So don't be too sad. Also your original photo has some marbles in it with orange ends, not yellow. I would like to hear more about what the Vitro gurus think about that.

    Peltier?

Okay, if you're seeing three ribbon colors, I am on board with MCR. However, I'm still not going NLR. I think the MCR period straddled the NLR and early Rainbo era. Some clearly have a meaty NLR era look and have been found in NLR era packaging. Your structure looks Rainbo to me.

    Peltier?

Looks Rainbo to me. Not NLR. And I'm not seeing the "multicolor" aspect either. What colors are the ribbons?
  7. Oh yes, for sure Vitro Conqueror. What a difference the seam view can make.
  8. Yes, I'm going with Conqueror here. Can have different tints of the baseglass and still have Conqueror.
  9. Yes, it's the verbal component. That's why I mentioned it. "Phantom" makes the marbles sound more interesting. The name game is powerful. More rare marbles without special names fly under the radar. However, I actually would have this with my Conquerors without the name phantom. The white is mostly at the surface. If there are phantom strands in the interior they are well hidden.
  10. Pardon my confusion here. Is it possible that the backlit photos are the last marble on the left while the plain photos are the 3rd marble in that row? I agree the backlit photos point squarely at Peltier Acme Realer. But the other marble in this post looks quite Akro. So I want to confirm we have all the marbles straight.
  11. Maybe a Vacor Blue Dolphin

    Vitro?

    Maybe ... or Peltier
  13. Giving you an A+ .... but .... the blue and green at the bottom here is standing out to me as a possible Akro.
  14. The colors are so vivid that I'm not actually sure what to make of them. That's why I sat out.
  15. I'm at WV Swirl, Pelt Rainbo, and still undecided. On #3, I'll nod at the Akro slag possibility yet will add Japanese Transitional for consideration. P.s., I'm not overlooking what appears to be a big chunk of furnace brick. That's worth a mention in case no one has said it before.
  16. This thread will let you see my favorite two views for ID-ing marbles. Seams, cutlines and poles, and photo tips - Marble I.D.'s - Marble Connection 2nd from the left on the bottom is a Vitro Conqueror. Could be called a Phantom Conqueror. The collector's name "phantom" makes those sound special but I actually prefer the ones with solid coverage. The left would also be a Vitro. I think probably a Conqueror, but it's a little different from textbook, so more views might give someone else a different opinion. I expect Akro Moss Agate on the 2nd from the right. Again more views could change my mind. The one on the right is intriguing. I want to know what that one looks like when backlit. (Backlight, not blacklight.) So more pix of the seams, and maybe a backlit pic, or just say what you see when you look through it toward a strong light. If the base glass turns watery and orange then we're probably looking at a Peltier Acme Realer. On top ... possibly another Vitro but I did consider Akro. More pix needed.
  17. Some Akro Moss Agates will have fluorescent bases. I think Rick was hoping yours would. Moss Agates regardless.
  18. I'm still calling yours ox in my mind. We all have our own opinions and, though I've forgotten the details, from what I learned about the chemistry from Brian Graham long ago I just happen to be of the opinion that your Peltier likely contains glass which has the same chemical composition as MFC or Akro oxblood. JMHO!
  19. that's a conversation piece! If you find more about it, it would be cool to hear.
