That's funny. I almost get it.

They all look like NLRs to me. Maybe later ones. My two Dragons Eyes came with some later-looking K&M's and other not quite classic Pelts. Edit: By "later-looking" K&M's I mean the kind which even Marblealan had some trouble with, on some occasions calling them NLR and on some occasions calling them Rainbos, but to me they look NLR.

Did my post sound like I meant it would be cool to buy those as an example of marbles kids played with? If so, oops! I see how it could read that way. For my part, I meant it as another topic -- someday I would love to learn about marble activities behind the iron curtain.

Yeah, even if these are modern, just for curiosity sake it would be cool to learn more about what kinds of marble games kids played behind the iron curtain, and what marbles they played with.

Uh oh, I just noticed who the seller is. Jeroen, that's a member of the forum with a very good reputation. In such a case it generally is advisable to try to talk things out with them in private before airing things out in public. You probably didn't know who he was though.

Not saying anything about whether this seller knows if the marbles are reworked, but we have seen people selling forgeries who had 100% (or at least high) feedback. Ebay once refused to listen to me and let people be defrauded of hundreds of dollars because the fraud was being done by someone with high feedback. They finally shut him down, but if they had looked at the evidence which we gathered here on this forum they could have shut him down earlier. Those who saw what we posted here were saved from making some bad bids. Lots of people post links to reworked and misidentified marbles. I don't want Jeroen to catch too much flack for what other people do too.

I'm still willing to believe they could be from the 1960's. What did kids in eastern bloc countries do? Did they suddenly go cold turkey on marbles? The circus carnival angle is one I hadn't heard before but it's plausible to me.

I like the whole "advertise flaws as features" thing. Whatever is annoying about a product, hang a lantern on it and advertise it as a good thing.

lol ... I'm pretty sure I've been to "dollar" stores where not everything was a dollar. I don't know if I've been in a Dollar Tree. ..."dollar" is a pretty word. It's starting to do that losing-its-meaning-the-more-I-type-it thing. But it still has a certain pleasing quality.

When I notice duplicates I delete them. Editing to add "duplicate, please delete" is a good thing. Or just changing it to something else as if you meant to do that works too.

I think with attachments the size limit per post is around 450 kb. If you put the pix in a gallery album first and then selected them from the album you could use more pics per post. Or as Galen suggested another photo host.
