  1. There's a newer than Rooster type from a few years ago called fire ablaze or something close to that that formally has yellow and white in transparent red it might be instead.
  2. you get suspended for a little while depending on how many infractions for non-paying bidder.
  3. I am one of many who used to refer to some slags as Striped Transparents just because of the pattern on the CAC and German marbles, not taking into account the additional color requirements. Someone corrected me and then I took the time to verify the definition and now try to use the correct terminology.
  4. This one I bought a few months ago looks like a match to the top left metallic. It was sold as a Champion, but I have never seen a Champion like it. Is it an Alley too, right?
  5. My fist sized Champion paperweight is just simply cool (even though Champion had them made by a different glass company). It looks like a giant marble and is rare as heck, but it looks really cool sitting on my shelf.
  6. This JABO splattered metallic is cool because, well, its a splattered metallic
  7. This Sammy's Mountain Marbles "sink'ra'te" has some of Danny Sink's ashes in it and/or on it. It is epicly cool and lets remember to show respect if we discuss it. I hope my remains will be put into marbles after I am gone.
  8. This JABO machine made "sulphide" with a bronze star in it is friggin' cool
  9. Upper left example is a coral with a bonus nice metallic swirl
  10. so...did you sell the Vacor as an Alley Mountain Dew to somebody? Did somebody buy it for the price of an Alley Mountain Dew? I doubt somebody would pony up without knowing what it is, but am interested. What happenned with the sale?
  11. I am worried the Alley Mountain Dew is a Vacor with that white in it
  12. I believe they may be Champion
  13. I doubt anybody would be able to correctly attribute this marble to the JABO ET Crystal Run, but thats what it is. Many of the JABO patches without lutz or aventurine might be confused for old marbles.

    Cairo?

    I agree with Steph
  15. This is what I use now. They are cheap but last unless you drop them too many times. This is my second one. They are still available under 10 bucks with shipping I just saw on ebay.
  16. Blacklights are even cheaper than they used to be. Surprising. Giving these two a shot. The tube one is 10".
  17. What do folks recommend. I have tried old fashioned standard bulb size blacklight bulbs, squigley shape newer style blacklight bulbs, I had longer tube style plug in blacklight at one point, and the handheld tube style. I also tried a couple very cheap but older flashlights supposedly blacklights that basically were not. From the things I have tried the only one I have relied on is the tube handheld battery ones because of ease of use. I think I still have both kinds of screw in standard sized black light bulbs somewhere. The handheld one works for me, but if there is something folks like better I want to try it. The standard sized bulbs required a lamp of some sort which then was sort of a pain to move around and store. I haven't tried any kind of UV led light at all for the purpose of exposing UV reactive glass. I love led lights for other uses however. Stick with what works or is there a more powerful focussed beam solution out there that is user friendly? LOVE LOVE LOVE my cheap led loupe. Everybody must get one!
