  1. To answer your original questions, there were also the Mountaineers in that run that had that great blue. One has to become familiar/acquainted with the different runs to recognize the differences among the various superman colored marbles Dave and company have made. If you handle a bunch of them repeatedly you can recognize the diferences. Pretty much true of all marbles.
  2. I guess since your's doesn't have orange it it, it would technically be unnamed, however, it is very recognizable as from the 2003 JABO 3/4" now known as Superman Run. They are a celebrated and sought after group of marbles.
  3. You know what, I might take my original ID back. It is from the 2003 "Superman Run," but your marble doesn't have any of the reddish color in it at all. The Extraordinaires have brown along with the Superman colors. A Superman has just Superman colors in it. That would make your's technically an Indian Blanket (I think)...need to go refresh my memory.
  4. Dave just recently made some more super sweet similar supermanish marbles.
  5. Like Steph said, Tribute to Friendship.
  6. I can see the white pieces of debris now. They look like they were sprinkled on at the same time as the lutz to me. Probably unintentional junk mixed in with the lutz confetti.
  7. Hit marks probably effect the value of JABOs less than vintage marbles.
  8. the whitish specks sound like hit marks from it hitting other marbles
  9. JABO Joker II Run 4/2/09-4/3/09 is what I believe it is. I call that a lutz confetti.
  10. uh oh. I definitely don't remember that thin blue line in the clear which means...I might not have one of those. Need to go check. Thanks for sharing Steph. Comprehensive photos of JABO runs always APPRECIATED!!!
  11. Most likely it is an Ebay auction number. I looked it up but nothing came up for me.
  12. To sum it up: the big ones are most likely Ultras and the smaller ones are most likely Mylees. They were made about 2 months apart in 2009. A peewee is a small marble that is exactly 1/2" or under. 5/8" is the standard marble size (whatever that means). A 9/16" marble is not a peewee. Calipers or hole templ;ates can be used to measure marbles accurately.
  13. the 2 3/4" ones on the right look like Ultras. All 3 of the smaller ones look pretty big in comparison to be true peewees. The big one on the left front looks intersting. Probably another Ultra, but I like it. The smaller oxbloods are probably just Mylee tankwashes.
  14. 2014 Tankwash just have to figure out which one it was
  15. I had hoped you would include the 3/4" marbles which if made at the same time basically might refresh my memory better
  16. Those peewees were made on the 5/8" rollers versus the 3/4" for the larger ones. There are peewee rollers too, but those peewees weren't made on them. The Mylee "tankwash" run produced very similar marbles in 2009 to the 3 shown in the photo you just put up, but if they were found together with the one that has blue in it too, then they are newer than that. There were a few oxblood peewees made during the Foxfire tankwash too, but these aren't them. I haven't looked into which tankwash run it was but 2012 or newer. It is easy to ID because there was only one tankwash run that had marbles just like that with the blue too, but I haven't gone through them to refresh my memory.
  17. I was informed that this marble was a result of tool testing for a future JABO sulfide run. It is not so easy to hold a tool in the stream without pulling glass away I was told. That is what I imagined. Thank goodness for experimentation and thank goodness multiple people at multiple locations are still making machine mades in America.
  18. I think the nice thin metallic swirl on transparent glass in the top left coral is worth noting. Are there any known Alleys with similar thin metallic swirls on transparent marbles? I still believe these 3 are Champions at least.
  19. Are we all not attributing any Corals at all to Champion anymore? I have some trouble believing that. Good discussion topic....
  20. I knew of a couple of experiments that weren't very successful. I don't know if there is any true "success" yet as even this marble has a fracture. If I didn't just say it, you wouldn't have known. I didn't know these were made either until it popped up on ebay a few days ago. Maybe Dare or Rick or somebody else who knows about it can shed some light if he/she reads this and knows of them.
