As much as I like my JABOs, I feel that the The better Akro oxbloods are the foundation of the machine made marble collecting hobby. Everybody needs examples of those Akros.

I think they are all new. 4 JABOs for sure. That top right with AV is probably Imperial. Top middle not sure of but probably JABO too.

Are there other types of machine made marbles beyond cats eys that are injected?

Imagine if we all were afraid of shady marbles past present and future. Buying and selling marbles is a shady business. Take a look at Ebay. I like the marbles. Many say they collect because of the people. Food for thought.

I assume that is blue and green inside, very cool. What's next mibstified?

Popular American Marbles is still my favorite general ID book for American machine mades. The quality of the photos are hated by many, but I personally recommend the book as the most helpful available at this time in conjunction with The hardback historical book American Machine Made Marbles by same authors. Don't write it off because of what many say. Cheap money well spent. I still wish all the photos were brighter

My mother started picking up Marbles here and there while antiquing and kept them in a jar while I was in my 20s. It turns out my Dad had a small box of Marbles he had saved from his childhood tucked away, but I didn't know about those until 5 years ago

It is actually quite sad. All I had and all I remember were coke bottle Asian cats from the late 70s. Did not play any for keeps type marble games in my childhood😕. I am 47
