  1. Here is one of two Wigers that I have. This one is listed on ebay right now (ending Wednesday, May 12). In hand, it looks wet mint. The photographs changed my mind on that grade. It's pretty easy to see that there is "pocketwear". Since my wife was "retired" after 36 years with one company, we're coming to the point when some marbles and other items need to be liquidated. Surely, this is a thread that I have marked! I love the rare NLRs! Does anyone else like the "Broken Corkscrew" NLRs? Peace!
  2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/164736834982 This one is certainly not the rarest, yet they are difficult to find. 63/64" and wet mint.
  3. yeah, I meant that the white translucent. Yeah, right. Truly it is translucent.
  4. Good morning all, I've been collecting Ferguson marbles simply because they "speak" to me. It must be that I hatched from an alien egg. Enjoy!
  5. Please let me know if you have any info. I should be able to ID this one... But, I'm tired.
  6. My opinion is that the marble I have is like the one you have. Not to grade your marble, but it looks like it has had a serious amount of playtime. The "chips" of paint and underneath look like the marble I have. It seems that when some of the glaze comes off, it is a very shallow loss of glaze / color. I think that's why your marble is still very round after the playtime that it has seen. The chips on the marble I have can be seen especially in photo 4 on the left side. When I wrote "There are several flat spots over the marble surface" I wasn't referring to any Bennington "eyes" although there is one "eye" that is captured three times in photos 1, 2 and 6. The "flat spots" I'm referring to are seen only in photo 6, just barely to the right of center. I could take about 25 - 30 photos to put glare on all of the flat spots and then it would be easy to see what I mean. I want to check the weight of this marble to a Bennington of the same size and see how close they are in weight. I just can't find my scale that measures in grams, ounces etc... Opinions still welcome! Thanks!
  7. If I list on eBay as "Super Fancy Earthenware" that would get more attention than Akron Roller... lol
  8. I haven't had the joy of seeing this marble before! It measures 13/16" and near mint plus. There are several flat spots over the marble surface all of which are covered with color. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  9. When I took photos of the marble there were a few that showed a short line of additional glare. I've taken 1000s of marble photos and when something like a little extra glare shows, I know that it's time to look again. The buffed portion of the marble is quite small in ratio to the entire surface, but I think it was buffed for a moment and someone changed their mind. EDIT: I just noticed that the second photo and the 2nd to last photo show the extra glare. Marbles with an original surface don't do that. Have a great night. James P.S. Yes, I will be selling this, unfortunately. I am beginning a charity support on all of my eBay listings. O.U.R. (Operation Underground Railroad) is operated by Tim Ballard. He quit his job at FBI, gave up his pension... everything. He made this leap of faith when he heard of the number of children who are kidnapped each year and sold to pedophiles. There is a movie to be released this year, "Sound Of Freedom" with Jim Caviezel playing Tim Ballard. I know that my Dad would want me to do this. So, everything must go. MODERATOR: If describing the charity that will receive donations is inappropriate, please delete what is needed.
  10. OK. Now the white stripes make sense. It is quite a beauty to hold. Thanks for helping a guy out! I can never know what might be in the next box of my Dad''s collection. He had them pretty well organized and then my Mom put them in boxes. She didn't mix them together out of spite or anything. She loved my Dad and still does very much. She just wanted her basement sewing room back! 😅
  11. ...I mean you can say JABO if you'd like but look at the photos first. I just about dropped to my knees when I found this in my Dad's collection. It grades near mint minus, but the dang thing is 15/16"!!! It looks like a few spots were buffed and most of the surface area of the marble were left alone. And the last photo... I didn't think CAC used oxblood. What do all of you think? Good morning, rockgardenplants
  12. @wvronsThe colors aren't "popping" out either. My guess is a newer foreign. I suppose I was hoping, hoping, hoping! As I go through my Dad's collection, I am finding marbles that stump me. Nothing new there.. Thanks for the reply!
  13. Could I get a hint as to which company made this marbler? Thanks!
