Size of this one is 11/16"

I've been doing web searches to find Alley Agates with green transparent base with opaque brown swirled with no success. The pattern on this one looks Alley, imo. So, Ravenswood or Alley?

I wrote last week about an 11/16" Cairo and an invitation was made to show additional pics. Ready for swirls? I've left the pics rather large so they could be ID'd. If you happen to ID one, please add a short sentence as to why it is what it is. Thanks in advance! (more coming)

Greetings all, Thank you for that excellent info on Vitrolite, wvrons! It is always amazes me how much excellent information comes from all of you good folks. I've been going through my Dad's marble collection (you may remember him as gremlin*** on Ebay). I have recently found several boxes of swirls (where the Cairo came from) and flames so I am really on the steepest part of this learning curve. In the very likely event that I post loads of pics on the ID section, don't be shy. Speak out and let me hear what you think and why. During the last 15 years of his life, he really sunk his efforts into marbles. I'll post a few pics of how many I inherited from my Dad. Cheers, James (orange_orbital)

it measures 11/16" and yes, it does glow but only internally. I would imagine that is because the inner workings are a light green. So, if it's Vitrolite in the marble that makes Davis, Playrite, or Jackson, correct?

Which manufacturer has the wispy internal swirls? The more I get into my Dad's boxes of marbles the more I learn!

I've never seen a color combination like this on any Peltier. Blue, grey, red, orange, green and shades of most of the colors.

If anyone has a marble addiction, KEEP IT GOING! If you give it up, that's when you go koo-koo! Here's what you may receive: a straight jacket, a rubber room and a single pee-wee clearie. No marble books, either. That would be a sad life.
