  1. I like that deep brown spot in the original thumbnail. Like I wonder what lives down in there...
  2. I do crop my photos but I try to do very little other editing... maybe boost the exposure a tad, or, in the case of these blacklight pics, I will decrease the "highlights" which just reduces the "overexposed" areas.
  3. HAHAHAHAHA. I have a small stuffed armadillo I am getting rid of it in case you need to fill that space.
  4. Thanks. That shot was actually taken with the same camera and lens I am using for my marble pics. A marco lens. I had taken it on this little outing west of Sisters, Oregon, last June to shoot "small stuff." Team Tater is a big subject. And they own me. But at least Boise will "put away" the shoes she steals out of the closet. And bring back ducks for dinner.

  10. What are these???? They are the "large size."
  11. I got my chores done... now to have some more fun with blacklight...
  12. This is in my batch of "mostly clear" ones. What component glows hot pink? I have a few of these... one has a nice slaggy swirl and I will eventually get a good pic of it. These are just iphone pics...
  13. Oh I don't know either... I just got the dang thing so was playing with it... and now I see there are so many more in my collection... as time goes on I will try to get better shots. Too much FUN!!
  14. Keeping it together. For now I am just "re-bagging" what I photograph for I.D. purposes but keeping with how I originally sorted them. BELIEVE ME... I wish I could sit down at a nice long table with you all and just have you hold and look at them...

  16. Needless to say, it will also come in handy when we get a new puppy... BUT!!! In the meantime, I think I will have some additional sorting to do... I have a lot of uranium glass. QUESTION: a few of the more "yellow" marbles that I had in the lemon-lime batch actually glowed pink. After looking up uranium glass on Wikipedia, they mention that the pink is called "Burmese." Can I assume that here? First attachment here is without blacklight... the "other views" in the next post down show the reactive state.
