  2. Well after looking until I was cross eyed, I'm going to have chicken for dinner.
  3. Opinions on this please. I'm thinking alley strawberry shortcake. 11/16" apologies for the poor quality phone picture.
  4. Paul, it's on its way in the morning. Thank you! Bud
  5. Thanks Randy I'm going to miss this little lady. She stands out in the crowd!
  6. Nice start Dave, thanks! If anyone wants to tag along just post a picture or two, add a auction ending date, make some popcorn and sit back and watch the show.
  7. Up for bid is a nice Alley Blue Lady, 5/8" not mint but in very good condition. The high bid by Monday January 30th at 12:00 noon will win. Money is to be paid in the donation box. After its paid PM me your address and I will pay shipping. I'm trying to start something fun to help support the board and wondering if it will catch on and become a fun, ongoing means of support. The auctions will be between marble collecting friends here. It's not my intention to create more work for Steph or Lou. So,, (The Marble Connection) will not to be responsible for anything related to the auctions. But they are welcome to bid. Bud
  8. Galen know much more about marbles then I so it's probably Czech.
  9. Most vintage glass beads were made by coating a small rod in slip (clay) then hand gathering over the slip. The rod could be pulled out after it cooled leaving a hole. Your's appears to be drilled as the hole is not at the poles. IMHO, it was drilled after by someone other then the maker. Looks CAC to me.
  10. All the blue makes me realize how mch I love marbles. Lol, my wife thinks i need an intervention.
  11. Hi Dennis, Pull up a chair!
  12. By golly I think thats it Steph. Thanks!
  13. I'm sure it's glass but seems a little heavy. I checked it with a magnet and it's not a ferris metal. Under magnification it appears to be melted glass finish.
  14. I found this in a small lot of German handmade swerls. It's .77", white base glass. The white spot where all the colors originate is smooth but there is a circle on the opposite pole that's raised but also smooth.
  15. Paul, I so wanted to get more and better pictures when I got back home. I had a five hour layover at SeaTac. I'm doing battle with TSA Over a zip lock baggie missing from my checked bag. There were a few really nice marbles in there.
  16. I also agree with Bob, people are not buying much of anything and so not many questions right now. They all got there credit card bills from Christmas and went into shock. Just hang in there. I guess I could start a fire by asking about CAC exotics. Lol
