Well, that one is on my Christmas wish list, just so you all know. I'm really easy to buy for, just not so easy on the pocket book. Oh, the one I want is the larger bag. It's only $800 My fear? My fear would be someone picking up the bag and shaking it. Hell, I would fear me doing it myself. It would be so tempting.

Both pelts, don't know why I was second guessing myself. The colors are so dark...
-
Ministry - the mind is a terrible thing to taste
-
Left, pelt? .645" The red is so dark in places. I wanted to call it oxblood. Right, Marble King? .648" again very dark and first wanted to claim pelt.

Ok, I have believe I have solved the orange aventurine mystery. Bubbles, lots of tiny, tiny bubbles (thank you Mr. Bubble maker! Am I showing my age?) Oddly, the bubbles only appear in the orange, and they appear erupted, or maybe fractured internaly, explain that one. I used a dental pick to try to probe and catch them on the surface, but the surface is smooth. As for the olive streak, aventurine mystery? I think the same orange bubbly phenomenon is to blame. It appears the orange and green made a perfect mix to achieve the color, and the bubbles helped to make a "fools aventurine" of a sort. Not far from the olive you can see a a thin orange ribbon travel through the green tinted white base. This orange remained somewhat unmixed to maintain it's own color.

I had the same guesses but was unaware so much bubble would be found in those. The patch seems very Akro to me.

The pictures are not showing it well. I will try some more pictures this afternoon. The dark green stripe on marble two is sparkling, as well as throughout most of the oranges in all the marbles. The splater is very much like, say, a grease splash. It's odd for sure.
-
All four of these are similar, all four have aventurine. In fact, all four have some splater on them someplace. Picture 2, marble 3 in example. You can see the splater spots on the lower right side in the orange. In fact that splater is in the orange colour exclusively on all of them. The spots are smooth, they don't appear to be blowouts. What are they? What are the splaters from?

Ok, so, .715" this is a bubbly clear base, obvious blue patch (that goes Violet under UV) with VERY faint wispy brown/green surface ribbons (That go florescent green under UV). Further, when looking into the marble while back lit the blue patch is ribbed.

Beautiful marble for sure. Yes, too bad about the fracture. I still marvel at those abused marbles though.

The picture is not depicting the white base well. It's a rather putty like off white. Like a very lite toupe colour if you know what I mean?

I'm sure many of you have seen this around the internet, but I thought it was kinda neat...

Found a bag I had sorted and stashed. Foreign? I like the little snake heads with the tongue sticking out. SsssSssss 🐍

Arrg, so frustrating. I love marbles!

Ron did warn me. What I meant about the seams is that what I have read is that the u shaped seams of marble king face one another. Like this (), but these nest one another. Like this )). Again Ron warned me earlier this week. Size and color and pattern can and usually do mean much more. I didn't mean to discount your assessment, Steph. Sorry if I came across that way. And sorry Ron, I was thinking of your words when I was looking at it and wondering what the heck, but...another lesson learned lol
-
But, but, but, I have read no place about marble king u shape seams that nest...oh man...lol
-
Me too! I'm so conflicted. I am almost about to feel relationships are far less complex than marbles
-
First marble, .945 Second, .985
-
So, the first marble, it has two curved seems that nest. This isn't a marble king seam pattern, is it?
-
-
Number two: Marble king, right? No doubt in my mind. One straight, one curve on the seam. Patch and ribbon. Bang. What is this first one?
-
Seem, I was seeing a u and v seam, but I was mistaking cold roll marks?
