  1. Ughhh I’ll continue the hunt I suppose. But when I do find an Orange slag I’m gonna dance a jig. Hard to find as they’ve been for me I may be in a wheelchair by then, in that case I’ll just do 360’s maybe do a power slide
  2. As many of you have I to have seen tons of slag marbles of all kinds. Orange slags however seem to be allusive at least to me. That being said these three have potential, to me, to be Orange slag marbles. Input and maker is appreciated from our local pros here so I can know if I’ve finally scored on Orange slags. Thank you!
  3. What helps me with Akro ID is the “segmented” or abrupt change of angle look the pattern takes on it’s not 100% but it occurs often in some of their swirls and other types.
  4. I bought it as yellow and Orange but under a loop you can see black in there so oxblood is entirely subjective
  5. The second one is an Akro Popeye with Oxblood and yellow
  6. I was cleaning some of my marbles and was able to capture some neat pictures that I liked while the marbles were underwater. I’ve always liked looking at them this way because of the reduced glare. I thought I would share a few. Enjoy!
  7. Thanks y’all. What do you think about the second marble ?
  8. I have this one with some similarity in its pattern is why I think Akro Agate?
  9. I have a few Akro Corkscrews that start off really tight just like this marbles pattern does. I’ve seen a few dug Akros with these colors although this one isn’t a dug marble. Any input is appreciated. Measures .58” inches. Thank you
  10. Thanks Ric. The Clarity of the base glass, fullness of the swirl with very little blank areas in the matrix make me think CAC as well. Sometimes I need opinions to help me decide.
  11. Surely there’s enough here for a positive ID on this one? Gorgeous marble none the less! I backlit a couple to try and highlight the interior structure. Crystal clear base glass. Measures .64” inches in diameter. Thanks
  12. There’s a couple with Oxblood as you can see. I think these are Akro but I need assurance. Thank you for your time.
  13. Thanks a bunch! Pictures 1-6 are group one. pictures 7-11 are group 2. I appreciate any and all input!
  14. Thanks for any input yall I would love to know the maker on this group.
  15. So....what causes a marble to become egg shaped or out of round when made from a machine?
  16. Champion? That’s my guess I would love to know for sure who made these though Thanks
  17. This one measures .74 its is out of round. Looks like a handmade made slag type I would love to know who made it. Gorgeous marble! Thanks
  18. I think with the EYE CANDY Akros pictured the Peltiers at the bottom and Vitros surrounding those Akros were ignored lol. But yeah those are nice Akro Agates I just tried to purchased a 1” Baby Blue, Yellow, White and Oxblood but I lost the auction, it sold for 142.50
  19. The last one here the green white looks like a Vitro Conquerer Marble to me but I can’t 100% tell from the pics. JMO
  20. I’ve had these for several years and I have wondered if they were Vitro there’s similarities to other Vitro Agates I have. Any help one these is appreciated
  21. I’m the same way I feel as if I learn more everyday. I visit my marbles daily and stare dumbly sort of like one would at a wall, plus, add in a little drool, aaaaand then maybe do a little organizing of my marbles by styles or colors or perceived value it’s great for my OCD this way. I often revisit old boxes of marbles stashes and I usually find something I didn’t know I had. It’s like AH HA
