A nice swirly Christensen Snotty I used to own for this "Slags & Swirls Saturday" I traded it for a couple large sized contemporary's to a marble friend years back. No longer do I have any Christensen.

My favorite G & Y Popeye, I paid $20.oo for this one 18 years ago. Wet mint, not a flea or dimple on it. Purple and Yellow is still my fav. Popeye color combo. My favorite Purple and Yellow, a few tics but the whispy strands are killer in this one.

Agree, a dug marble, I have a bunch of Heaton W an abalone looking surface on them, some are just coated. I guess it's some kind of chemical reaction between the glass and the chemicals and moisture in the ground that makes the glass react after being in the ground so long. Same Abalone like reaction on the glass surface from one of the dug Heaton I have

Is the Av. a coffee brown (Bronze) color ?? I can't tell from the pix ?? It's the color of the av in the ribbons that make it a Bronze not just the ribbon color.

Been a long time since I posted this Silver. Just over 3/4ths and dead wet mint, a favorite of mine. The first two are under a 5000 k Daylight bulb, all the same marble just different views. Natural Sunlight

Yes, in hand is always best, collected CAC's for almost 18 years, just got burned out on them. Collect what you like, maybe next year I'll like vitro, who knows. Controversy on both forums over these two marbles, makes for good discussion and education

OP is Alley IMO almost every manufacturer made marbles at one time or another that exhibit a turkey type head or a close facsimile thereof. Second looks Akro to me, never seen ac CAC W lashes from dull shears, if you have another example of one it would be nice to see it. I no longer collect CAC gave & traded them all away years ago, Alley and Pelt now, and of course my first love of when I started collecting marbles in the 80's German Handmades. Funny, nobody wanted machinemades then, my how things do change.

Just a weak color of yellow, still just a Popeye
