  1. Thoughts? The green one is 0.45 and the pearly opaque is 0.49...

    Akro?

    1st marble is 0.55 (1st 4 pics), 2nd marble is 0.61 (last 4 pics)
  3. Looked into it and both of these pieces are Imperial 1951. Remembered Chad's pitcher and went back to page 1 of this thread and identified them with the logos posted 😊 Not Akro but still nice additions I think.
  4. Funday Friday rolled right over into Super Saturday with these finds I made just an hour ago...hopefully considered good scores 😁
  5. Yeah, it's pretty weird looking, like a hunk of the vein has been moved when it took place. Just had to have it as an oddity 🤪

A friend of mine in Jacksonville, Florida owned a 69' Roadrunner back in the 80's. Beautiful car, wish I had pics. It was 2 tone brown on orange. This car was totally original and practically mint! Rode in it many times! Every time I was alongside the car I would always catch myself looking down at the Roadrunner gritting it's teeth 😁
  7. Here are some different shots. This marble is a little tricky, the "line" inside is pretty straight and from what I can see in hand, doesn't go through the vein, rather around it. The surface isn't fractured anywhere that I can see. In one shot you can see little bubbles running along the top of the vein. There are tiny fractures inside but all are attached to the vein, none of them near the surface. The only marks on the surface are the cut marks. The vein gives the look of something as if it were breaking the surface of water. It's a crazy marble but cool at the same time.
  8. I was gifted this awesome piece this morning! Unmarked. What do you think?
  9. I was just gifted this marble among others this morning. Thoughts on manufacturer?
  10. Thanks for taking a jab at Ron. There was another one that had Cuba and its flag on it but passed because of a huge chip in it. I'll keep looking 👍
  11. No fractures, appears too be air.
  12. Awesome piece and great information!
  13. The glass leans more towards the yellowish side of green rather than the usual greens I have seen. More than likely a bubble split the veins when made, but thought I would post here for any input being an uncommon oddity?
  14. Full of little tiny bubbles, the last pic shows a little "crease" (dead center of marble) otherwise don't see any other marks on it. Wondering about it's origin if possible. Thanks!
  15. Funday Friday produced this find, interesting enough too purchase for a few bucks
  16. Funday Friday ended up ok, found a handful of marbles and this...fine little piece and the hunt continues 😊
  17. Love it. Everyone I would think has had a connection of some kind cars or motorsports during their life. One fond memory of mine was back in the 80's in Florida when I was in my early twenties. My brother in law owned a 69' Malibu, metallic blue/black leather interior. That thing had some horsepower! He took me for a ride one day shortly after he acquired it. Little did I know what I was in for! He took me out to a 5 mile stretch outside Jacksonville called Pritchard road, where alot of the locals would race their rides for cash. Nobody was there that day, he made sure of that. As we sat there idling, he looked at me and said "Ready?" Before I could answer he hit the gas and we were gone! We hit 60mph in just a few seconds then surprise! He quickly flips open a little box and hits a green button. Nitrous! Oh boy did that Malibu turn into a rocket! Rocking back and forth, my body literally stuck to that seat like I was on the Graviton at the fair. I think we hit almost 200mph! Never forget it. I have loved Malibu's ever since 😋 I finally bought one about 6 years ago, a 2008 model fully loaded. Sadly it was rear ended 3 years ago, totaled. I will get another one one day! My other favorite car would be the 68' or 69' Chevelle SS. Thanks for sharing your cars! Thought I would return that share with a memory! 😊
  18. Nice! Your are definitely suited for the role...it's a whole lotta good for the site and its members too have someone stepping up to help out 😊
  19. Same thing I have I believe? It's a little beat up but still a cool marble. Measures 0.70
  20. Just for clarification purposes, the Redwing products I mentioned were originally based in Redwing, Minnesota; but Winona was a known sales outlet for them. The building above actually housed at one time the popular Redwing pottery.
  21. Funday Friday it was! Went here....had to take 2 pics too get the building because I ran out of parking lot too back up on! 3 stories of fun treasure hunting 🥳 The last pic is of the rock they call "Sugar Loaf", which overlooks Winona, Minnesota. Lots of Indian heritage around those parts. It's said that people still find tons of artifacts throughout the hills in and around Winona. Interesting history about this town if anyone decides to read up on it. Also known for its Redwing pottery, Redwing boots and being the homebase for Wincraft (the company responsible for making tons of collectible sports memorabilia for major events like the Super bowl, World series, etc.) Check it out!
  22. Rifleman, Bonanza, Alfred Hitchcock, Hogans Heroes, the list goes on and on. Always bouncing between MeTV and various Roku channels 😊
