Mighty fine Pelt there 👍

Wow, Fantastic marble! Definitely top tier and one that will be commanding presence on the shelf it sits 👍

Lol, I checked out Feebay last night and saw 2 petrified coconuts listed by the same person. This dude is trying to get over $1,000 for one of them! If only!

I think I would be doing some research followed by some possible digging! 😊
-
That's what I was kinda leaning towards but it's always good to get some opinions 👍

Looks like a rather attractive Akro to me also...love the orange(?) and brown 👍

Scores from yesterday...you know, I should actually start cleaning more than digging, but it's damn hard not to be out there! Starting tomorrow, we will struggle to stay above the freezing mark for a little while, so yesterday was probably the last day of digging for the year... More guessing is welcome! We have the obvious then we have the "what the heck is that"...

It's nice having both knobs for each set...I really like all the advertising from the 50's, 60's and 70's myself. Can't be alot of plastic out there that is intact like these pieces are. And too think it all survived collapsing buildings and mother nature!

And Patty thought the bottle that you mentioned was possibly Bullwinkle? Seems she remembers something like that from her childhood....
-
Definitely! It's been a blast! Next step is more cleaning and then more pics 😊

Found some more, I'll post them later!

Heading back out there shortly...rain predicted for Wednesday and Thursday so a nice, sunny day for digging for a bit. Still have plenty of pics too post from previous trips yet. I'll have to get busy with that later today 😊

Someone at some point did alot of traveling and collected (and worked), alot of various rock, stone, minerals, etc. Nice examples of what I have found recently. The picture is me yesterday in the "honey hole" inside a collapsed shed. I was about a foot and a half down discovering all these goodies...petrified wood, agates, quartz, crystals, you name it!

Well, it's actually a place not very far from Patty's parents farm in Northeastern Iowa. She used to go on walks years ago and knew of the property. After we got together, she caught the "treasure hunting" bug and remembered this property as being abandoned for many years. So with permission, we started visiting the site weeks ago. We go a couple times a week. As you can see from the pictures, most everything has collapsed, most recently the house itself (it was still standing around 2010, Patty was actually inside of it back then!) Lots of fun! It's amazing what we find out there. So many different time periods appear to be represented pertaining to what we are finding. Some things are just below the surface, other things a foot deep or more!

Haven't posted here since the last week of October, so have to play a little bit of catchup after having been too the site a few times since then....comment as you will because it's going to be alot of pics 😊

Thanks for the ID assistance on some of this stuff, my friends! Seems like I have just enough time to post and not enough to research lol...

In brief...the drinking glass was a nice find, wish I could have captured the gold leaf pattern that mixes with the white...the doorknob with both plates is awesome, appears to be aluminum and was on the rotting remains of the back door too the house...the leather reins, bridles, etc., were a nice find considering they were half buried....the V9 plate I think went to a stovetop....scythe blade #4.....more vintage spark plugs...what's left of a wagon wheel. I'll have to grab the wood remnants when I go back....a small tripod/easel?....an all metal, long handled scraper....some really cool horse gear....really nice 1920's compact, missing its contents but still nice. I think there was also silk on one side...fun!!! And of course more nice mineral deposits 😊
