  1. One inch? The big ones play by different rules. Akro is mho. The yellow does it for me regardless of any other color that may be involved. I am guessing that this one has some UV reaction as well. I appreciate all opinions and learn from them all. Marble--On!!
  2. Show us the other Pelts----it may not be random--maybe just "special". Vacor marbles have been around for some time though--so you just never know. Marble--On!!
  3. It may be a Vacor"Blue Tang" with some rare green invloved--just sayin. Still---a nice looking marble! Marble--on!!
  4. Hmmm, the marble is a pelt slag--no doubt. I do not think that the cullet matches--but it does look like it came from Ottawa. Nice stuff Fire! Marble—On!!
  5. This is a very nice marble. If it is not a Pelt--I would love to know what it is. I respect all opinions and wish for more on this one. Marble—on!!
  6. I can read mistakes--mostly because I have made many. MFC vs CAC is a common mistake when using the written word, even with the well seasoned collectors. So—I do not blame you for calling it a CAC—MFC is not excusable. I would still love to see some more opinions on this one. I love all opinions and I wish for some more regarding this marble. Marble—On!!
  7. This one looks like a Jabo to me. All opinions are appreciated--- Marble--On!!
  8. My first though was I think that chocomibs meant to say CAC. These colors are in the CAC pallette. Why not a CAC? I appreciate all opinons--- Marble--On!!
  9. This one may be a Superman--or not. If I saw this one up for bid on ebay I would say that it has been polished. There looks to be some polishing coumpound stuck in a few crevices and I also see what looks like polished out 1/2 moons in the first image. We cannot always go by the finish on any marble but this surface looks a tad out of wack to me. Marble--On!!
  10. Every marble--no matter how common, may exibit as a standout. This is why we look and bleed our eyes out--drip drip drip --ouch my eyes are bleeding again. Marble-On!!
  11. Akro put a pee-wee with every Popeye box that they sold as far as I have been able to research. They were all patches as far as my research has gone. Very similar to yours. Marble—On!!
  12. Yep--those. If you have a box-----measure them. Marble--On!!
  13. I agree with Steph--X 1/2--not a "Helmet" though. Marble--On!!
  14. I love a good "Brick" and you should keep searching, because when you find one--you will get "hooked". The ultimate in oxblood—just the tops! Try to get one in bad shape and work up from there. I love them all, regardless of damage. Yours are all Jabo, the one with pink involved may not be—but I doubt that---it may just be a later version or a "Contract run Marble. If you want a starter “Brick” PM me and I will send you one. No kidding—just a brick lover to another. Marble—On!!
  15. You are right one Ric--under 5/8" for an Akro is just a rare thing to find until later in the history of the company. Akro did sell double zero marbles but I have yet to see a box marked as such other than game marbles. Finding a 9/16", or a 00 sized Akro corkscrew or "older patch" is not a common thing for me--maybe one in a thousand. I hunt for 9/16" Akros--not an easy find, if ever you want a trade, this will do it for me. I keep all 9/16" Akros aside because I have an end-game for them--regardless of the condition. The more common "Oxblood Patches" (white based) that we are all very familiar with are more often than not found at 9/16" rather than 5/8". I have often wondered if these were not Master Glass vs Akro----times will tell. I just love this stuff. Marble--On!!
  16. This one is a "veneered" marble--that cuts out Akro and Master--at least the earlier ones. The white in this one leans Vitro imho. Marble--On!!
  17. X2 the one one the right may be an Akro
  18. Not so quick Jzoook6, You have two totally different marbles here by two different makers. If there is an Alley it would be the first one imho. There is no “brick” here—just some very fine looking purple based/swirled marbles which are rare enough on their own. Purple is a rare color in a vintage marble only outdone rarity wise by pink. This is my opinion and I appreciate them all ---opinions ---regardless. Marble—On!!

There is nothing wrong with contrary cheese---I welcome it and learn from it. All opinions are welcomed and appreciated--always!! Marble--On!!
  20. I will copy a saying from my neighbors to the west in Minnesota and say oof-dah!!! These both look like WVS—I do not see Jabo here. Nice marbles for sure!! I just wish that I could help with an ID. Marble—on!!
  21. Thanks Cheese, This is the best image of Kokomos that I have ever seen--- Just killer and well worth me cutting and saving to my hard-drive---love it. I just love this stuff--and the folks that produce it!!! Marble--On!!
