  1. I will consider this one as an "early " Bulgarian made” marble. This is not a great marble, in any way (in my humble opinion). They, the folks who make these, have gotten much better--- much better over the years!! Marble—on!!
  2. Very early on in our career, my wife, who is a good cook, made a tuna fish omelet. Now, I love tuna from a can (in water, I could wolf down a can-full right now) and I do love an omelet for sure. This was the combo from hell below-🤢. I still tease her about it and it was about 47 years ago. Live and learn for sure.
  3. Really Steph?? I just love that stuff--with some "Tiger Meat" of course. Go Pack!!
  4. Well that one is different. Size? Marble--On!!
  5. The one thing that I look for in Master Made Marbles is very few flaws. Master Made Marbles are without a doubt in my mind, some of the best, most rounded and flawless marbles made. They all could take a hit and much more—some of the best players ever made. If this one is out of round by even a bit—it is not a Master Made Marble imho. I am starting to think that this one may just be a hand-gathered marble of some sort. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble—On!!
  6. Well schmoozer, the OP is not a helmet style imho. This one has to be identified in hand. I am hard pressed to call it a MK--CAC is what I have to say-no more-no less. I will PM you from here on regarding this one. Marble-On!!
  7. This is a good question for @Al Oregon. I do think that they came bigger than 5/8". Marble--On!!
  8. Pretty common--but great! Marble--On!!
  9. "hornswaggled" I love the word--if it is one----- Check the Black on White for any aventurine involved. ( use a bright light) It may be a “Pelt Realor”. The yellow on blue is a PPP--second image ---- the one on the right side. The black and yellow is an Akro—nice one. The ones that you circled in the last image; blue and yellow, are more than likely Akro patch types. The rest are Akro imho. Marble—On!!
  10. We need more images--I am still on the MK train here. Nice marble--regardless------show the cutlines. Marble--On!!
  11. The big clear one. Marble--On!!
  12. I have on clue--lol. Alley-- Marble--On!!
  13. @$20--if you think that you have one--just step on the gas and go for it. Marble--On!!
  14. Of course you are--you collect marbles--we are all crazy. The big one is a Vacor--Probably a "Polar Bear". Nice marble!! Marble--On!!
  15. Cheese got it right. These Alleys fooled some of the very best collectors for many years. Cheese amongst others here on the board (@Ric )went right down into the dirt to prove what is and what was not. My hat is off to the diggers once again—Thanks for all that you have done with dirt in the fingernails! Marble—On!!
  16. Nice marble, nice bubble, nice firebrick included! That is a huge bubble in a big marble. I am iterested to see the weight vs one with no bubbles this size--any maker will do. I just love this stuff! Marble--On!!
  17. Size always matters--this one matters for sure. Marble--On!! I blinked---many times--- Marble--On!!
  18. I will lean towards a MK Cateye here, they made some big ones. Is the image correct? Yellow tips outside and white inside? Let us know--- Marble--On!!
  19. I agree--RAR. Marble--On!!
  20. That is a nice WVS--no ID from me--lol. Marble--On!!
  21. Well, It is not a "Whispler" imho. The images are still hard to define. There do appear to be some possible “Pontil Marks”. Until you get a clearer image of the cutlines--- I will call this one a Master Made Marble. Marble—On!!
  22. Good! Keep on learning--this is the fun stuff! It is an Akro corkscrew. Nice one! Marble--On!!
  23. That is a very nice Master! Marble--On!!
  24. This is a great thread, let’s keep it great. You both have so much to offer. The newest generation of collector’s are like deer in the headlights trying to figure out what you are talking about. Consider a truce and get together to inform the new collectors of what the older collectables were—they are coming back sadly, because no one lives forever. The old collectables will become the new if the information is shared in a professional manner. You are both pros and respected in your own right. Like I said, you both have so much to offer—let’s get it on! Patience gets thin with age—not me—it just gets better. I am a great grandpa almost three times (next month makes three) Share what you know—just be nice is all that I ask. Treat us all like kids and explain what you would know as if to a seven year old. Thanks for all that you both have done for the community over the years and of course— Marble—On!!
