  1. Machine made, not a Cornhusk. UV is not an indicator of anything.
  2. Its an Onionskin with lutz. I don't see where EOD is evidenced.
  3. My understanding is that Guineas were not made on a standard machine.

    Strange German

It meets the definition of a Submarine.
  5. The price is a pipe dream.
  6. Those blue/grays were dug - and were great color combos IMO. Nuanced.
  7. Its ballast. Any time you hear someone pitching a marble with a grand story and glorious proclamations of their rarity/value - know one thing: "A good marble doesn't need a story to sell itself". But a shyster/liar will feel compelled to invent a story. Once you see the story coming - walk away. Its a waste of life.
  8. You efforts are quite a contribution to the hobby. Props. There are two sources for modern cards: Former Running Rabbit auction notice cards (which were very well done, and some cards that were (IIRC) done by Elliott Pincus for his auctions. I have a number of each squirreled away somewhere.
  9. I buy with goals in mind. Otherwise - its an accumulation, not a collection. That way I rarely end up with "extras".
  10. Modern, mandrel-wound bead technique. Easy to make on an Minor torch.
  11. If you get jammed-up, let me know and I'll pull out my Jabo pee wee stash.
  12. I read an article in the Washington Post that people collected vintage marbles. (Found it): https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1988/05/16/aggies-glassies-mibs/b9fd82ce-daee-4f5b-9bc0-9d7aa21311a5/ I thought it quite odd. I went to a bookstore and saw a Grist book. Saw the pics - boom! I was hooked. First show was a Philadelphia PA show. Wow. People were just expanding to MFC and CAC from handmades (handmades ruled). All other machine mades were ballast.
  13. Soot gets in the glass furnace sometimes, and sometimes on the rollers. Based on the annealing fractures, I'd say the glass wasn't up to temperature.
