  1. change it's bands? 1 5/8" in a light gray base glass; thanks
  2. Well, I sure hope it sells ! 13/16" with the bands just under the surface. thanks
  3. I tried to backlight it, sorry for the pic. The darker bands are the ones that glitter. thanks
  4. I found an old, button type, Korner (made in Germany) accordion. It is a Korner and not a Honer. I can't find any information on it anywhere. Anyone know a guy or gal that may be able to shed some light? Just found out it may be known as a Squeeze Box (go Who !) thanks
  5. Don't know and yes fake ground pontil. I did not have it done and have it for about 10 years. Looks to me it was done to deceive. thanks
  6. A restored or reconditioned mib. Over 1 3/4" solid core: thanks
  7. Well, I don't know what it is, but I do know what it isn't and it is not fractures. It is an old german handmade. However, thank you very much for the input. thanks
  8. 1" amber slag. It has bands/threads of white inside and bands/threads of something that glistens when looked at in the sun or bright light. At first I thought it may be lutz, but why would they put lutz in such a dark based marble? Then I looked some amber micas, where the mica inside was pretty much the same color. But I don't think I have seen bands/threads of mica in a marble before(?). Your thoughts please. thanks
  9. That type of "damage" is not that uncommon for this size and type of marble. I believe your starting bid is fair but I am trying to avoid the greed-bay scam as much as I can. If it does not sell for you over there, please list it here in the buy and sell forum. thanks
  10. Not a real good pic of the pontil, but it looks a melted pontil to me. Not a transitional but a hand gathered handmade marble, most likely from the Navarre, Ohio plant. Hope this helps. thanks
  11. Fond one you might like. 1" naked Berry Pink. Not in the best of condition, but if ya want it give me a holler.
  12. When you drive 50 or more miles to see a box of cateyes!
  13. Yes, that was what I was asking, should have been clearer. Here is another one I used to have. I believe it was 15/16", but my memory aint what it use to be. thanks
  14. Interesting Ronnie; I have heard and considered the "hand gathered" theory of companies other the M.F.C.(but that is another subject), but have not heard the term hand gathered and handmade used for any glass companies other than those prior to M.F.C. Have you seen any type of pontil(s) on these companies marbles? Not doubting, just curious. thanks
  15. Not all of this type of marble has a melted pontil. Some of the pontils were clean enough there was no need to melt them. I have seen some, but very few that still have the original pontil. thanks
  16. 7/8" with a regular pontil. I believe it is from Navarre.
