  1. I wonder what @shiroaiko would say.

  4. Yep, this looks like a Japanese crease pontil.
  5. This looks a lot like some Yasuda marbles I have.
  6. Awesome find! 😃 It's incredible that cat's eyes were produced so early. When I first started collecting, everyone (at least in the US) thought that cat's eyes were invented in 1949. This new information pushes that date back by a whole 10 years. I wonder if these prewar cat's eyes were exported to the US? It would be interested to see if any turn up in antique shops.
  7. Just curious, but I wonder if Stephen Bahr would be interested in exploring the topic of imperial marbles with the people he spoke to in his Vacor/El Aguila videos. Maybe, they would be able to associate certain color combos/glass types with Vacor?
  8. Sure! I love studying these guys. It seems like there's so much variety to them, especially in the older ones.
  9. Is there a way to tell the Asian made imperials from the Mexican made ones?
  10. Got this 1930s ish Chinese table for my Grandma as a present. Turns out it came from one of the original art deco buildings on campus, but was purged during a renovation.
  11. Scored this early 1900s Bohemian glass vase for 10 bucks.
  12. Yeah! Looks like a JABO. Love the nice orange and green. 🙂
  13. Here's a nice group of vitro cat's eyes I found last weekend.
