  1. Yeah, that's something else I was wondering, I couldn't find the hours.
  2. Like I keep saying, this information is absolutely amazing! 😃 I agree with @LevvyPoole, it is really interesting to learn about how Japanese marbles started circulating in China and Hong Kong. It seems like a lot of them have been found there.
  3. Hey, just thought I'd post this in advance for the Seattle show this Saturday, but if any collectors/dealers attending have some extra Japanese transitionals they are willing to sell, I am in the market for them (as always). 🙂
  4. Man! That's pretty impressive that the glass products were viewed by the emperor himself! Not that any marbles don't have history, but Japanese transitionals seem to have some particularly impressive history. 🙂
  5. Thank you so much for the awesome information Shiroaiko! 😎 It's really amazes me to think that the marble was made such a long time ago. It has definitely seen it's fair share of history! I wonder how it could have made its way over here to the U.S.
  6. Ooh! I wonder what kind of WVS this might be. I don't think I've seen another one quite like this guy.
  7. I happened upon this guy yesterday at a local antique shop. It just kinda stood out in the tub I was searching through. I wonder if it's some kind of Vacor or maybe a West Virginia Swirl. 🤔
  8. Awesome!!! Thanks for the info! 🙂
  9. Just thought I'd ask, but I heard a while back that there is a show in Seattle some time in March. If so what weekend is it and where is the venue? This is my first chance to go to a marble show (so I'm pretty excited!) 🙂
  10. Pretty much all of mine are Chinese from about 1930 to 1990. Even though most of the Chinese ones aren't worth as much as the Murano examples, I like the really bright, vivid colors that they come in. Plus, you can build a pretty diverse/large collection fairly easily.
  11. I couldn't agree more! I absolutely love these guys and have amassed quite a few!
  12. So, were the last hand faceted agates made in the early to mid 1930s? If so, did Germany continue to make machine ground agates later?
  13. The 3 in the back row might possibly be Christensen (since they have what looks like a 9 shape). However, the other 5 are hard to tell. Peltier slags usually have super ultra fine bands (they almost look feathery). Generally, I've heard from other collectors that if a slag has no defining characteristics like feathery bands, a 9 swirl, or a seam, it's probably an Akro (just because they made so many).
  14. 🤣 I agree! It looks like a really neat marble!
  15. Awesome, my dad just purchased it for me (he has the ebay account). Thank you so much for selling this guy, ever since I started collecting marbles, this style has been on my bucket list (even if it's only a ten dollar marble). 🙂
