Thanks Art, they came in Mega Marbles net bags dated June or May 2025. I am stumped. Maybe just a freak wash out marble type between named marbles. I'll name them myself if that is the consensus. maybe Calico ?

These have a brown and purple swirl and or patch pattern, 5 are one kind and very iridescent. The other two not so much and show more subtle swirls and some yellow. Please help, I looked for an hour or two now and I am at a loss. I thought maybe Gazelle or Giraffe but they are not those, Thank you!

So I bought 2 lbs of these Michelangelo players, and it came out to be 175 marbles. I am surprised there was no breakage, cracks, or pinpricks. They looked pretty good overall for design. I picked out my favorite set, and 1 extra which jumps out at me. Wish they all looked like it. Ended up with 7 groups of 24, Need them shooters! My extra favorite one. It's in here with this group of 25 marbles. Dead center second row from the back. I did not own a Michelangelo yet except a frosted one I got from VAMarbles at the NJ show as a gift. I STILL LOVE IT! But . . . . Maybe I did have one all along. I got this one incher and inventoried it as an "Eclipse". Sure looks like it is related to a lot of my new weaker Michelangelo. I believe these are 4th generation variety. So here it is leading the group. I think I may have assembled my own nice 24+1 net bag. My tag I made.

They strongly resemble an earlier Serpent Vacor marble. But that's just my reaction. Not an opinion. (They are neat!)

That red stripe, patch and transparent base makes me think of a Vitro Helmet and I am not saying it's a helmet but I think it is a Vitro. But then . . . that stripe is not exactly red is it?

It came from Moon Marble in a Vacor assortment bag.

I can't for the life of me remember or find what this one is called. It is probably not a streamer nor a spaghetti or Cats Eye. Please help and thank you.

If there's a Quacamaya in there, I really don't see a great example. Patience sir ... a nice one will come to you someday. I don't have one yet.

Hiya VA ! If I ran across this box I would probably buy it for $30 tops only because I need a few of those shooters. A lot are very run of the mill examples maybe, which I would not need to have. I like the tray though. I would have answered earlier but I was out fishing on the Finger Lakes for a couple days. Just got home.

I found quite a few of the odd ones in the asst bags, and have been grouping like kind together. You might see more like yours in near future bags. I myself will be on the lookout for your example. My guess is that as they rolled off the rollers there was a duration those produced marbles that might be very similar and ended up in the asst bags. Here's a picture of one of my 4 boxes so far of the strange but neat ones. I don't know if there is a name for the blue ones on the right. They have a patch on opposite sides. Only one side has a highlighted line of an olive brown along the patch. I have dubbed them "Blue Whales" for my own identification on my spread sheet. Besides these 5 I have 23 set aside to make a net bag but finding a shooter might never happen. In the second column are Wolf but instead of the normal colors they have Orange or Yellow. I suppose they could be Police Officer related too. Weird huh? I have maybe 50 strange ones that I can't put in any particular issue from Vacor.

As wolves go, that's a great specimen. That is, if it is a Vacor Wolf. I would vote yes. They produce many "tweeners" and hybrids.

I used to collect Akroware and had a decent collection. Now I might have a dozen pcs left with only a couple better ones. I am fairly sure that a company named Westite bought or acquired some of the molds.

I believe it is a Jabo because of the usual "C" fold.

Those are beautiful Oxbloods. Did you get them in a sale in a old marble bag?

I'm so proud of myself. I am hurting my arm, patting myself on the back. The old polly was at our house and our new one probably 30 years and it was still doing good but I wanted it to last a lot longer so I sanded it down and gave it a new paintjob. Old Polly New Happy Polly
