  1. Thank you good people But . . . is this a transparent Master Marble "Sunburst"?
  2. I believe this now to be a nice Vitro Phantom Conqueror, an unual prushed patch with the bonus brown brushed ribbon. There are striations that show just under the ribbon in one place to appear to go into the clear base. Of course, it is transluscent. Thank you all for this conclusion. Seems perfectly correct to me now.
  3. I did find a couple that resemble this marble. This eBay listing seller does the usual, covering all the bases with search words, but obviously does not know either. I think it could be a same kind marble though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/187055946792
  4. I'm glad this was well received. I am not color blind but have other issues for sure. We all have something. It would be kind of fun to try to ID marbles in B&W and then have a reveal when ID-ed in color. Thanks all!
  5. I was being grateful the other day for the ability to see all kinds of beautiful things in excellent color. I assume, I am seeing things the way most people do but I might have an extra portion of appreciation than the average guy or gal. I think a lot of us marble collectors fall into this group. We can see the beauty in art and nature maybe just a bit differently than the next. Then I thought of those who have color blindness. I wondered what differnece it might make in finding the colors those see that do not have this condition. Perhaps, they see things differently but still see cool marbles just as well as anyone regardless? Hey we all have something, one way or another nobody is perfect. I am on the lower end of the bell curve when it comes to that. There is absolutely no intention of me posting this that makes a color blind person any less than anyone else.
  6. Thanks so much all you people! I had this one for several decades and I'm pretty sure it came from an actual kids marble bag with all sorts of different kinds of earlier marbles in there. I don't think it's a veiligglas as other than Imperials, Chinese, and now Mexican marbles I never came across European machine made mibs in all my collecting days in the wild. I thought Ravenswood too.
  7. Atmosphere ! Hey William, may I use this or one of your images as my avatar? These images are awesome.
  8. Thank you William! I can see that now. Just like that. I will change the title to solved.
  9. I think this is a very nice looking marble even though it isn't with dazzling colors. The patch is blended between brown and gray. It has a complimenting ribbon for a belt. If I had to go out on a limb, I'd say it is an unusual Vitro Conqueror since it is showing light passing through. Thank you!
  10. The spots have cleaned off since i took these pictures after I gave it a little cleaning. I like the green on this. This is one of those marbles that seems to be looking at me as much as I look at it. It jumps out at me in the crowd. Anyone see one like it before?
  11. Another thrift store prize. One tiny nick but shows less in hand. See whiter field image, This was hard to photo. It also looks better in person. Much sharper. Thanks marble people!
  12. Thanks for looking. Went to the thrift store as I do most times on my way home from the pool. The odds are 1 in 50 visits that I might find marbles. Today I got a bag of game marbles and some look-alike plastic mibs but in there were a handful of goodies. Here's one . . . I'm bubbling with joy!
  13. Truly amazing pictures. I have never seen the Northern Lights. They say they can be seen in Pennsylvania once in a while but nothing like that. I have never seen Starlink either. Thanks for posting. . . a Wow from me as well.
  14. This one stands out in my better Vitro tray for now. It has four colors if you count the white, three, if not. Now I know it isn't all that exciting, but I can appreciate it being kind of neat. Is there a name for it being a little more fancy than the common All Red? Much appreciated. 1st image is probably closest to actual colors but it is a tad darker in hand I suppose.
  15. Thank you all! I went to Stephen Bahrs yooo tooob channel last night before going to sleep and in that Akro Agate video, one of the very first marbles that were shown were marbles that looked just exactly like this one at 57 seconds into it, dead center. Still, I do appreciate the overnight comments after I slipped off into marble dreamland. I'm off to the pool at the Y. Have a great day!
  16. If I had to guess, I'd say Heaton. Not sure if that V is an oxblood thread. Could be? It is opaque and has gentle blue and pinks hues in the white which I don't know if you can see that. I have had this a long time and it always gets my attention. I do like it a lot. Anyone know about this marble? Thank you very much.
  17. Akroorka, I had it in the frame yesterday with my Akro's and had to get it out for the photoshoot this morning. It is going back in with the Akro's shortly.
  18. I think this one should be easy if I knew that answer. It is quite vivid. Translucent. This 5/8 marble does light up a fair amount with a UV flashlight. You can see those eyelashes going from the orange into the blue. Pretty dramatic there. Thank you
