I assume that Marble King made the newer type Rainbows and other wanna be named marbles like bumble bees, wasps. cub scouts and tigers etc. They appear to have only 2 pole patches and a solid color. They made some three color marbles since the older type patch and ribbons and marbles like Ninja Turtles and Painted Turtles and others. Yes I know they aren't the same, but they don't offer them from the factory for sale. They do sell clearies, cats eyes and solids but I would like to have a small collection of different newer issues other than those. Does anyone know where there might be reasonably priced newer and the better MK marbles being sold to the public online? I am not trying to buy here from members and skirt the rules about buying and selling. I'm just baffled why Marble King doesn't sell a whole lot of different cooler marbles than the common stuff they offer. I know they make other stuff right? Thanks!

I think it's a Vacor "Polar Bear". I think the orange is a light source.

Look at what I did at Thanksgiving?

A very cool Dragon, certainly not run of the mill.

Nice swirl but sorry I can't help ya. Couldn't even guess.

To me it looks like a Christiansen 9 there and that open window at the other pole is an indicator but I am in 1st grade when it comes to those marbles. I like it though, very cool colors. If it were a transparent blue and white, I would say I am almost sure, but this combo is differnt for sure.
-
Perhaps an earlier Goldfish? Good guess there William. A place to start for sure. I think you got it.
-
Pretty sure it's Vacor but I'm not familiar with that color combination. That happens sometimes. Maybe it's a freak "Firefly".

First one looks like a Vacor Camouflage. But a bit shiny, which does happen. Second looks classic Jabo all day. Light red on white looks Asian to me.

Christmas Exchange? Anybody Interested?
The Nickel Guy replied to VaMarbles's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I'll do it again. Thanks and Merry Christmas! Oh . . . and thank you for organizing this, whoever you are. I would think it is VaMarbles. Late edit: Sorry, I cannot ship outside the US. Wish I could but Merry Christmas to all. -
Last one for tonight. Might have another Vitro Opal? ID?

I appreciate that Fire! What a difference a day makes. Here's some pictures I just took with my gray sky window in the background for backlighting this morning. If I can ID an Opal, it may help me in the future and others too. First with patch on top, second two with patch on bottom turned 180 degrees for both sides. Thanks. -
Very bright brushed patch. Am I an Opal? ID please - Thanks

Here we have some new daylight images shooting toward a gray morning widow and some indoor lighting I just whipped up. Big difference huh? The question is - Is this a Vitro Opal and perhaps a chickpea? Thank you kindly! -

Thanks Fire! Wondering if this might be a somewhat distorted chickpea? -
This one when held a foot away from my desk light, is a fiery orange translucent conqueror type marble. It is 21/32". There aren't really any striations inside the base, these images kind of exaggerate what is on the surface only, but it has bubbles and appears a bit cloudy on the inside. I am sure somebody will want pictures of this but the daylight tomorrow will provide the light I need. In the meantime . . . Thanks!

Vivid orange to yellow brushed patch on what might be a Vitro Opal? Maybe this is actually is one? I held it to light but not right up close. I was careful not to mistake the patch for making it fiery. It looked like the moonies do ( sorta ). This patch is crazy bright. I have no other like it. Maybe somebody can tell me what I really have here, it's 19/32". Thanks!

Here's another one that has that old feel and look to it. The seams are obvious enough in my collage. I like this one a lot. I keep picking it up. It is translucent and is 21/32". Can you guys and gals ID this one for me? I am lost. Thank you very much.

Just missed the peewee boat at 17/32" This one is a bit bubbly in the transparent green base with a brushed patch that goes from white yellow then green. It's a pretty little one. But I don't know what it is. Can you good marble people help? Need a maker and name for kind. Thanks !

Angelfish or Van Gogh, which look alike, if not the same thing.
-
I thought it was a Master Marble Sunburst. That is until I looked closer at the seams. But I don't know?
-
I believe this now to be a nice Vitro Phantom Conqueror, an unual prushed patch with the bonus brown brushed ribbon. There are striations that show just under the ribbon in one place to appear to go into the clear base. Of course, it is transluscent. Thank you all for this conclusion. Seems perfectly correct to me now.

I concur.
