Damaged Marbles can also be polished to make them look newer again.  That’s a whole different can of worms but here are a few I recently had done

How do you polish?  I have a bench top polisher for other things, and never thought about marbles.

I also have a Dremel with polish attachments...

This may be a rainy day project

$200 is highway robbery and taking advantage of people.  Avoid such sellers - know about what you are thinking of buying before you part with your money.  At a tenth of that price it is a paperweight.

Walk into any marble show and you can find a simple white latt in that size.

This past month, I have learned restraint and to walk away from jars and bags I find, because if this site and the education I have rapidly recieved.

Thank you to everyone for that!

It appears to be a normal latticino core that went through World War II.  In that condition it hard to understand why anyone would want it for any reason (at any cost).

I guess the intrigue for me was the size.  Are these readily available at that size?

And he wants 200.00 for it

    Thanks for the reality check!!!!!

  4. Ok.  It's us a picture from an online ad.  The guys wants A LOT of money for this, but this is the only picture that you can really kind of see it.  It looks huge, maybe 2"?

Any speculation what it might be?

I'm intrigued and maybe interested if it's worth investigating

Agreed Ric, and Cheese as well.
We all need to be challenged.
    This is just a great example—worth a challenge:wub:.
    Marble—On!

So this would be a Champion swirl?

At first, I thought that this may be a Veiligglas marble.

I can see where Ric is coming from though.

    Regardless--it is a nice find.

Lets call in @Mojo for an opinion and @cheese as well.

@Chad G. also know these types.

    Marble--On!!

A Veiligglas would be pretty cool!
