    Peltier?

Almost every week. Whities showing up regular. Usually see more Blackies than Whities. Old Vitro Whities- Opaque white base and single different colored stripe or ribbon all the way around the middle. Later Vitro Whities - Clear base with veneered white and a different colored stripe or ribbon all the way around the middle.
  2. Could be Akro, could be Peltier could be CAC, could be Alley, could be others ?
  3. I agree 100% with Cheese. Without for sure known origin, cullet is just pretty glass.
  4. What is special or different with the clear base glass ? I cannot separate clear Master or clear Akro base glass. I am ready to learn.

  12. Shocker $150.00-$250.00 . At the WVMCC meeting today a member said they recently sold one of these sets from Hillbilly Magic run for $250.00
  13. Nice to hear. Pass it forward.
  14. Alley St.Marys Ghost. They are everywhere, and always have been since I have been with marbles. About as abundant as a MK Bumblebee. They were named(not me)about 14-15 years ago. But the last five years people have went nuts buying them and paying from $5.00 to $25.00. for one. If there is a$1.00 or 4 for $1.00 box with 300-1000 marbles at a show, these will be in the box. They have slowed down on price so I guess people are satisfied now, they have a Alley St.Marys Ghost. The base is clear with thin blue and red swirling. The blue and red will vary some depending on how heavy or thick the blue or red color was added plus temperature. With the numbers he made these often and probably over a few years at St.Marys. There is a Jabo that is similar but both colors are more heavy or brighter, more blue and more red. Jabo also had a blue base with some clear and thin red added which burnt. These can look like Alley Ghost.

    3 weirdos

I have had and seen as many colored transparent mushrooms as opaque. Nola over two years bought all of mine. The last one with the tail. The tail was what convinced me of CAC. The no bleed edges of the red and the well rounded end of the tail. It was suppose to swirl but it just did not spin correct in the roll groove. In the last group shot of three, you can see the very straight cut. No one has ever proved who made the mushroom style marbles, or when.
  16. Those they call European Sparklers go up to one inch.
