ann Posted November 18, 2010 Report Share Posted November 18, 2010 Micas are one of my favorites (one of the first types I started collecting), and as far as I know they are. I've never seen one in person, only heard that they exist. Usually the closest thing you can find (and they're rare too) is a light or medium gray. What a beauty! They occassionaly break off like the punty mark on other glassware and a piece of the object comes with it. It also happens on occasion with shear cut handmades. The pontil is wierd, I have other micas with the same mark...kinda an indentation then ground. Yes it's a single pontil. 7/8 not sure if I mentioned size. Thanks for the replys.
