m!b$
Don't you think? For a 3/4" NM+ 8.9 Golden Rebel with a great pattern? I know the black is a little skimpy but it looks like it has lots of AV. http://www.ebay.com/...cvip=true&rt=nc
m!b$
But I wouldn't pay anywhere near what this one went for: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MARBLES-5-8-AKRO-PURPLE-CHAMPAGNE-CORKSCREW-MINT-/271062995401?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&nma=true&si=pzn17taSGcCEXmsog29WZbo54%2Fo%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
MC Marbles
3/4" NM+ 8.9 Golden Rebel For me, If I am going to Pay $300+ for a marble it has to be mint. I would rather wait, pay more & be happy.
m!b$
True, but the chip doesn't look that bad to me, and looks like it could even be as-made. I would've bid on it, but I already have a big GR. And that cork does have the added white, which I missed at first.
lstmmrbls
lot of money for a rough marble with a chip IMO
clydetul62
For the collector that cant pay the 1200 up for a 3/4" GR in mint, this was a good buy. They may never have gotten the chance to get a GR of that size in their collection. GR in that size rarely come up for auction. The Pattern and size is what sold it. I would compare the results of a comparable 3/4" 1200 CAC flame or a 1200 faceted pontil Greiner in non mint going for the same. You will over look it being non mint for the chance to add to your collection.
greg11
doesnt look like any GR I have seen, is this a remelt
westcoast_dave
Not a remelt, the ribbons were just a lot thinner than you usually see on a golden rebel. The surface was immaculant besides the small missing glass. And like mibs indicated.....the missing glass may not have been from impact...possibly as-made but even under magnification i could not make the distinction.
