popeyecollector
How do those Akro spinner cups work? Do they just make the cork pattern or is there more to it? Vane number? Number of colors? Position and locaion on the machine? Thanks
lstmmrbls
Notice the nail like object at the top of the cup(the glass wraps around it in the one pic) This gave the glass resistance so it would corkscrew when hitting the grooves in the top of the cup. As the cup spins the glass flows downe then as it is sheared the cup actually tipped down thwn back up to flip the marble onto the rounding rollers below and return to get the new flow. colorized by Jeff Hale
wvrons
Akro spinner cup, made of graphite,so the glass does not stick to it. The ones i have seen had two letters or initials stamped or cut into each one. I am not sure what the letters were for? Maybe they were issued to each operator?
