BobBlock
Not likely. The hue of the color tends to change when machine mades are polished and these are the right hue. Plus Kathy (oldnurse) is pretty good at describing what she's selling. Why would you even bother polishing these unless they were large shooters? Steph
One has a big chip and at least some of the visible pits on others look rounded -- not the sharp edge I would be looking for as a sign of polishing. Is that interpretation of "tight-line" widely used?

TIght lined made me think polished
Steph
Just as a technical vocabulary point, when I learned "tight line" it referred to a cork with a lot of twists. So it would have a lot of lines squeezed tightly together. Not just one line which happened to be thin.
Ric
I agree, Steph - an odd usage of "tight line", IMO.
ann
Oldnurse is a very reputable seller but she knows a lot more about old Germans than machine-mades --
lopacki
I have purchased quite a few marbles from old nurse and have no complaints what so ever. This auction and others under oldnurse85c are consignment items. All my best .. Danny
William Marbles
I've been doing business with Her for years. If she 'even' thought they was buffed or polished she would mention it. Good Seller/Buyer!!!
