Steph
that one's cute Oh gee, I didn't praise Winnie's when I saw it earlier. I merely admired it. Thank you, Winnie. That is beautiful.

dnauth
(clickable pix) Interesting advert Steph. Look at bottom pg 1. Big value marble assortment box. I thought this was a pelt box???? What's up with that? DAN
Steph
I hoped someone would notice that. Now someone needs to find one which says Berry Pink Industries on it! Or one with Alleys in it which doesn't seem to be backfilled. Pink was tight with Peltier. Marble King packaging held Pelts for years. And the flyer didn't just picture it but offered Item No. 100B "Marble King" Nested Box. So if someone wanted it, what did they get? And are there any examples left? .... Enquiring minds want to know .....
kbobam
I always enjoy the old advertisements. Although the pricing can really get you going on a daydream where you go back in time and buy lots of stuff. ( :
kbobam
I don't usually have titles, but of course this one was "In Vitro".

Steph
You don't have any clambroths, do you? It may be a gimme what the photo would be, but I'd still like to see it. (:

kbobam
I'd probably put lemon butter all over them. People would be appalled. I like it!
Steph
The marble I just posted isn't a clambroth -- it's a gooseberry. (just in case that's the one you're gonna put lemon butter on)
kbobam
To be honest, I had to look up 'clambroth'. Wherever it was I found a definition, it was mentioned that most have a milky base, but that some rarer ones can be colored transparent. Figured your photo was one of those. kbobam
The nearest work I could find today was in West Virginia. Unfortunately there was no time for anything 'marble'. Just got back, with a comfortable 5 minutes to spare!

kbobam
Not quite as bad as it sounds. Pretty much the closest part of WV to me. And as you're getting close you cross over big rivers with big rocks, and there're huge mountains on all sides. It was just crazy beautiful country. kbobam
There really is something special about Winnie's marble, but I'm having a hard time putting it into words. There's something 'natural' and comfortable about the colors.
kbobam
Steph's marbles from yesterday look pretty special too, but I'm wondering what the band-aid like things are on some of them. ( :
jeroen
Marble for today: a true black core latticino marble, size 7/8 inch. And looks even better under water! Jeroen
