Gnome Punter
Ok Ignore the Blended Boy scout. Saving time and took photos for a friend Have a Golden boy, A golden Boy with more yellow bands than the orange/gold and a Clear or Blue base Bumble Bee that may be in the Golden Boy "family" AND I think the one I left out is a peltier Blue Angle, posting an ID thread about it in a sec
oldmarblenut
I never heard of a golden boy either nor a blue base bumble bee??? it looks like a cub scout. after all the digging at the old MK dump site there are a lot of blends and oddballs now on the market, I didn't know they all had names. Steph
I wonder if that's the same as the one the Marble Queen called a Blue Boy. http://www.marblequeen.com/images/marbles/item32m.jpg This is a great 5/8ths inch Marble King blue boy. This is an experimental made between 1959 and 1964 but never marketed. http://www.marblequeen.com/marbles.htm

oldmarblenut
I have a couple marbles from the St.Mary site where the base glass is black, some are Black Widows and the others are Bumblebees. Does this change the value as well?
I'llhavethat1
Is it the transparent blue base?
oldmarblenut
they are on black, note how dark and muddy the yellow and red appear on top of the black.

m!b$
I had an MK Golden Boy that had an opalescent base. That could be a requirement in order for it to be a Golden Boy, for all I know. I may have gotten as much as $15 to $18 for both of these, including shipping. http://www.mibcollectors.com/view_lot.php?marble_lot_id=7570&back_link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mibcollectors.com%2Fprofiles%2Fmember_info.php%3Fview_member_id%3D38118%26keyword%3Dmk%2Bgolden%2Bboy%26keyword_refinement%3D2%26exclude_keywords%3D%26photos_only%3D%26individual%3D%26condition_start%3D%26condition_end%3D%26size_start%3D%26size_end%3D%26price_start%3D%26price_end%3D%26status%3D%26orderby%3D10%26offset%3D%26quicksearch%3Dmk%2Bgolden%2Bboy%26limit_member_id%3D%26searching%3D1%26limit_marble_collection_id%3D%26submitted%3D1&back_link_description=
lstmmrbls
Blue Boys originally and for many years were light transparent blue base glass with yellow ribbons, And I still do not know what a Golden Boy is? And am now an even more happy being a founding member of NHA. It is getting ridiculous.

It has golden stripes rather than standard yellow. The blue is a softer, powder blue and it is also transparent i have a few that have blue ribbons on clear class. I am sure they are all play things found in digs though
