Steph
Thank you kindly. I feel so much better than two months ago. I think I slept on it wrong last night. The elbow hurts a little again. But it feels like ten steps forward and only one step back.

Steph
All the Brady Kids are older than I am. I would have guessed I was close to Jan's age.
kbobam
Huh! Based on your intelligence and overall 'togetherness' I would have thought so too. You're just a kid! But it's cool. You're still AOK in my book. You reminded me of something I hope at least a few people here will find funny. Guys meeting other guys for the first time have a complex 'screening process' which I guess you'd have to call an animal instinct. This is used to determine if the person is worth your time to ever speak to again. Generally it involves questions like "You a Cowboys fan?" For guys 'of a certain age', which is surprisingly wide-ranging, there's one question that to this day always comes up eventually. It goes like this: "So............. Jan or Marcia?" I know this has a distinct superficial and sexist tinge to it, and apologize for that. But for us this is vital information! Please forgive us. We can't help it. Steph
Which Brady kid are you closest to? I have your birthday down to one of two days ... I shamefully admit still not being sure which of the two ... but not the year. (Message me!)
kbobam
In the broad sense, as an only-child I don't feel particularly close to any of them. As far as the thing I mentioned, I'm definitely a 'Jan guy'. This is pretty much a matter of generally being attracted to women who have their own 'unique' appeal. Marcia's 'cookie-cutter' pretty girl next door look is okay, but gets a little boring. Guys who grew up 'liking' her probably wound up liking the traditional 'Playboy blonde'. Nothing drastically wrong with that, I guess, but to me they all look sort of 'plastic' and basically the same. (It's so tiresome having to turn away the large numbers of these women who are constantly knocking on my door!) I think you should continue to send me presents on both my birthdays. kbobam
In spite of all the incredible advantages of doing all your television viewing by recording the programs at an earlier time, there's one big downside. You're constantly seeing advertisements from 'your favorite places' offering 'your favorite things' at 80% off for 'a limited time only!" And that 'limited time' expired a week ago. Steph
If I had actually learned the periodic table in the 1970's, how different would the present table look? How many new elements have been added since then?
Hoody
Hi Steph, as far as I know there are not much new arrivals there. It might be that one or two synthetically bread elements were introduced. Check your knowledge against the actual version of wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Periodic_table
Steph
Thanks. My knowledge is very slim. I don't recognize half of those abbreviations. I definitely underperformed in chemistry class.
Hoody
Most people just recognize only a few abbreviations. That is no problem. You just need to know about the important ones: Si = silicon (german = Silizium) and O = Oxygen - some kind of glas is made from those.

My immediate thought was that 'The Blue Olive' would be a great name for a pub! ( :
