Steph
More Criminal Minds (Season 1 -- pre-Joe-Mantegna) ... and Charmed. What kinds of things about WWII? Ah .... I found Apocalypse on Wiki.
SirCray
This one: http://www.smithsonianchannel.com/shows/apocalypse-the-second-world-war/694 Really interesting. I started watching some Hitler and Nazi stuff on Netflix, really fascinating and terrifying/disgusting all at the same time and I've gone through about 3 other documentaries, all Hitler/Nazi/WWII related. I never knew I was so interested in WW2 history.
Steph
Star-studded Love Boat episode on MeTV http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0636723/
Steph
P.s., it's a musical episode. I didn't remember that Love Boat did a musical.
kbobam
I would have recorded that one if I'd seen it listed! I always like to have an episode on hand, because when you're in that perfect Love Boat mood it's a really great show. Particularly when you just know it's going to be one of those stand-out episodes. ( :

I never knew I was so interested in WW2 history. You should check out some books by Stephen Ambrose -- beautifully written -- he wrote Band of Brothers and D-Day, among others . . . and on the other side of things, I forget the name, but the book by Albrecht Speer . . . who was an architect and came up with the "look" of everything (the "Cathedral of Light" at the Nuremburg rallies, the SS uniforms, etc.) Pretty interesting. kbobam
I'll have to save my take on Fargo for later. Loved it last season. It was a real breath of fresh air, and that doesn't happen on television all that often. The first episode this season was good, but it seemed like the powers that be had made a distinct decision to give it a slightly different 'feel'. Haven't seen any more of them, but have been recording them. Getting the thumbs up from you guys now has me psyched to watch them! ( :
kbobam
Here's a wonderful moment (well I think so!) from the living room in 'The Goldbergs' television show. (This show is set in the 1980's.) A beautiful old Trinitron television (dare I add 'set'?) with a genuine 80's holiday-time 'splash-screen'! kbobam
I can't even begin to tell you how significant this particular moment seems to me. Here's Dustin Hoffman, who's possibly my favorite actor of all time. And he's just out-classed every brilliant philosopher who's ever lived. By explaining it all in one simple sentence. Steph
((((((Bob)))))) What show is it?
kbobam
'Esio Trot', a movie based on a novel by Roald Dahl, This guy is one of the few people in the world who have earned my top rank of 'a fricking genius' based on the books of his which I've read. I'm in the middle of the movie right now, but so far it's totally charming in a non-barfy way if you like that sort of thing. I know I do. And both Dustin and Judi Dench apparently wanted to play the main characters, since neither of them 'needed' the work. That says a lot in itself! I'm psyched for the rest of it and going to get back to it now.

kbobam
Love American Style! My devoted followers are probably aware that I've been enjoying several old TV shows lately. Most of them are really well-done television. This is not one of them. Boy, it's really stupid! I'm still kind of liking it though. Probably a combination of its occasional decent laughs and 'The Nostalgia Factor'. What's really amusing to me now is that I clearly remember, as a young boy, feeling very 'devious' and 'sneaky' watching this 'very adult' show when no one was around to catch me! I also figured that I didn't understand the theme song because I wasn't old enough to. Nope. It still makes no sense whatsoever! ( :
Steph
Serious nostalgia trip with that theme song. Also loved the song as a kid. The kind which made you feel hip and groovy and patriotically excited about being an American watching television at once.
