I have watched the doctor since the early 70's. My husband watched it in the 80's.  Maybe the 70's.  On PBS.  He liked Tom Baker.  He was my boyfriend then, so I was aware of the series, but didn't really understand what it was about.

Then I dove in with the 2005 revival and have been hooked ever since.

I grew up with Dr Who (Tom Baker was 'my Doctor'), and was glad to see the relaunched series, but found it got too silly over the past few seasons. I tried the new series with low expectations, but was really impressed. It felt much more like the Doctor Who of my childhood than any of the recent seasons.

I liked Torchwood a spinoff of Dr. Who

I got to see a little of Torchwood.  We watch in DVD and haven't added Torchwood to the collection yet.  Captain Jack sure is a cutie.  

I liked that first episode of Jodie Whittaker's run.  She seemed very Doctor-y.  Look forward to seeing more.
