PROrtiz212
I got these with the last batch. I have a bunch of hybrids. My question is are these considered hybrids or are these something different. It looks like black hair or streams of something black. Any help will be appreciated. (I love the red and black ones)
Steph
Hybrid on 1, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12 In general I'm more likely to think "debris" on a stray strand of black than I am to think "hybrid." So on 5, I might say "debris". Or "oddball". Not sure about the others. Not seeing the details which would make me say "hybrid".

PROrtiz212
Thanks it was hard to capture the black in them all, I know what hybrids are I have alot of them. Its just all the black strands in each of them make them look cool. Thanks for the information.
wvrons
What are the requirements for a Hybrid Cat Eye ?
Al Oregon
I think the general consensus is that a hybrid cat's-eye is when there is more than one color on the vanes. I use plural as there could be an odd color (pr debris) on one vane but nothing on the others. That would not be a hybrid (IMHO).
wvrons
Thanks. That means that about 90% of all the non USA Cat Eyes are hybrids. Hybrid Cat Eyes may be more common than non Hybrid Cat Eyes.
Al Oregon
To clarify Ron - I am talking about more than one color on a single vane - not more than one color in the cat's-eye itself. For example, the 6-vane Japanese cat's-eye with 3 pairs of "v" vanes might have a pair of green, a pair of red and a pair of white. That's not a hybrid. wvrons
OK more than one color on a single vane. That makes the numbers less. I think several people are forgetting this detail. I notice it different places even at shows. People calling any cat eye with more than one color, even each vane a different color, hybrid cat eyes. Things keep getting stretched so much that the original intent is being lost.
