Telorast
I'm a total noob with a virtual marble collection (Pinterest). I've spent an inordinate amount of time looking at marbles online & I already know I'll be in trouble when I start getting my hands on them... Ya know how you notice something & all of a sudden you start seeing it everywhere? In the last couple of days I started coming across Cedarman7's online. At first I thought they were made by a specific company, like Arko made the ades, but then I started seeing Cedarman7's from several companies-- Ravenswood, Arko & Peltier so far. Are Cedarman7's a category across several companies (like swirls), or do they only come from one company, but people on the internet mess up the names? Also, what distinguishes a Cedarman7 from other marbles?

Telorast
Ohhhhh... No wonder I couldn't find anything about them. It's a good thing I'm still in the looking stage Thanks! 🤪 😊

Telorast
I looked at one of the ads to see why I thought Cedarman was the name of a marble. He puts his name at the beginning of the title. If you're like me & you don't know any better, it does look like the name of a marble. I feel a little less embarrassed at least... Here's an example from eBay Cedarman7; Vintage 17/32" Wet Mint (-) Ravenswood Swirl Marble! old toys sale
Al Oregon
He uses his name at the beginning so people know it is his marble. He has a good reputation so in buying marbles online, it is good to know the seller and their reputation before buying, especially if you are a new collector. You don't want to get ripped off. Telorast
Thanks... makes sense. It would only confuse a total beginner like me. It helps to know that he's trustworthy & easy to find. 👍
Telorast
Are there sellers who photoshop marbles?
cheese
There are lots of them that boost the color saturation and things like that, yes. Usually they overdo it and it's obvious. Cedarman7 is a good seller and a good person, you'll do well dealing with him.
