Chad G.
Looks like Master for manufacture, not sure on the oxblood. Someone else will chime in w/ the correct info
Al Oregon
Whether it is Master or Akro, the red color looks to fit the oxblood look. I'd have it with my oxbloods.
chocobogreens
Are oxbloods identified by any particular pattern of the color, or is it just the color itself? I'm excited I got one right
I'llhavethat1
The last pic made me think Imperial, Master, Akro in that order (based on pattern). A lot of manufacturers made a deep oxblood red like this, which is typically what the color refers to rather than the pattern.
Berryb
It used to be "If it aint MFC or Akro it aint oxblood" Thankfully that isn't true anymore. The old definition was brownish red like dried blood with black hair-like stripes through it. I think that definition came from marble collectors not the makers. I remember oxblood shoes, they didn't have black hairs in 'em. Definitions change, as long as most people agree with it. I think you can safely say ox but maybe not Akro. Chad G.
If you're dealing with real oxblood when back lit, light will pass through a translucent or transparent mib but not pass through the oxblood, hard to do on the mib demonstrated here being opaque, just "my opinion" but I don't believe it's real oxblood. but a darker color of red similar to oxblood.
